Beautiful location

It is a good location of the house, especially with a dog very advantageous as there is a forest next door. To get directly into the city, you have to walk a bit and also climb the Klünderberg again. You stay fit. The furnishings in the house are good and there is enough space for 4 people and a dog. You feel very comfortable in this house and we will come back again. Many thanks to the Hollefeld family!

Villa Iduna - Holiday Apartment No. 1

Excellent

Very beautiful, quiet apartment, large veranda, house in the typical white spa style ornamentation, central, very well-kept, great location, close to the beach 1 min, shopping 1 min, bike rental around the corner, all around perfect. Exactly as in the photos. Unusually good kitchen equipment: quality knives were super sharp! Would love to come back next year!

Villa Iduna - Holiday Apartment No. 10

Beautiful apartment centrally located.

The apartment is modernly equipped and very cozy. The beds are very comfortable. Therefore, 4 stars. If there had been insect protection in each of the living and sleeping areas, it would have been 5 stars. Due to the very central location (less than a few minutes' walk to the beach and the pedestrian zone), it becomes lively from 8 a.m. onwards. Less suitable for late risers. ? The central location is very advantageous. Everything is reachable within a 5-minute walk. Beach, promenade local Edeka spa center, etc.
This definitely saves parking fees and nerves when looking for a parking space.
In short, we had the best conditions for a nice vacation.
We will definitely come back a third time to this apartment to enjoy our vacation.

Binz in a Unique Setting

Binz and its surroundings offer many attractions that you should definitely visit during your vacation. From your private vacation apartment, you can easily and reliably reach nearby neighboring towns with the Rasender Roland, a steam-powered island railway. For example, in the holiday resort of Sellin, you will be enchanted by the beautiful pier with the Kaiser Pavilion. The Sellin Pier is an incredible 508 meters long and a visit can be perfectly combined with a walk along the beach promenade along the coast. For those seeking relaxation, hikers, and vacationers with dogs, the Jasmund Peninsula in the northeast offers an unforgettable excursion destination. Experience the chalk cliffs with the Königsstuhl and the ancient beech forests, which have been declared a World Natural Heritage site by UNESCO.

The flat coastal section at Binz Sand Beach is not far from your private vacation apartment. There, your little ones can splash in the sea and enjoy building sandcastles on the fine sandy beach. Your horse-loving children will surely enjoy the horseback riding opportunities and lessons offered by the riding farms in the beautiful nature of Rügen. The National Park Center Königsstuhl offers tours tailored for children, allowing them to explore the chalk cliffs and breathtaking landscape on their own. A special experience is the Skywalk, which offers a unique view of the surroundings daily from 10 am to 7 pm (As of August 2023). A unique experience is the Rügen Natural Heritage Center with the restored Forsthaus Prora and treetop path. Here, your family can meet nature at eye level and learn about the famous flint fields on a guided hike. The highlight of the adventure park is the observation tower, modeled after an eagle's nest, built at a height of 40 m among the treetops, from which you can view the entire landscape from a bird's-eye perspective.

Where can I eat out in Binz?

Dining in Rügen

The cuisine of Rügen is diverse and light without forsaking tradition. It includes fish from the Baltic Sea and the Bodden waters, vegetables and meat from local farms, smoked and pickled items, and local cheese specialties. You can purchase these at markets or from local vendors and then easily whip up a great meal for your family in your vacation apartment at a fair price. The real specialties include meat stews with apples, raisins, and plums. Also try "eel in dill sauce," "Gänseweißsauer" (jellied meat with fried potatoes), and of course the "Rügen eel soup."

What is a must-see in Binz?

On the Trail of Exciting Stories

Do not miss the so-called "Crown of Rügen". The Granitz Hunting Lodge is an architectural masterpiece and is definitely worth a visit. In the summer months, the doors are open from 10 am to 6 pm, while in winter the hours are slightly reduced. (As of August 2023) Also eye-catching are the protected Wolgast Houses in Binz. These include the houses "Undine" or "Lilliput," which were inspired by Norwegian dragon houses. The most historic site is The Colossus of Prora. Originally a Nazi KDF home ("Strength Through Joy"), later used by the GDR army NVA, it has become a fascinating cultural site with numerous galleries, museums, and dining establishments right on the beach.
