The holiday flat is located directly at the Schmachtersee (50 m) and is 500 m from the Baltic Sea bridge/beach. Within a few minutes' walk (approx. 2 minutes) you are in the main street/pedestrian zone, where you will find many cafes, restaurants and shops. A bakery is in the immediate vicinity (2 minutes walk), supermarket (Lidl, Aldi, Rossmann etc. are 300 - 600m away).
Description Ostseebad Binz
The Baltic resort of Binz has a well-developed railway network and can be reached from Stralsund via Bergen auf Rügen. It is also the terminus of several long-distance lines operated by Deutsche Bahn. There are a total of two railway stations in Binz, the second of which is where the Rasende Roland steam narrow-gauge railway runs between Putbus via Sellin and Baabe to Göhren.
Binz is located between the Schmachter See lake and the Prorer Wiek bay. The Schmale Heide headland stretches in a northerly direction and connects the Muttland of Rügen with the Jasmund peninsula.
The place was mentioned as Byntze in 1318 in a survey of the tax of the county of Streu. The first spa house in Binz was founded in 1890.
From May to September, the shops and shopping markets are even open daily. A stroll along the 3.2-kilometre-long beach promenade is also a walk through the history of the town.

Binz is nestled in the north by the extensive woodlands of the Schmalen Heide and in the south by the Granitz. To the west, Binz nestles up against Lake Schmachter and to the east, Prorer Wieck awaits with its wide, white sandy beach.
In addition to pure beach fun, the Baltic resort of Binz and its surroundings offer numerous excursion options and sights. These include the South-East Rügen Biosphere Reserve with the Mönchgut peninsula, the Rügen Baths Railway "Rasender Roland", the flint fields of the Schmalen Heide, the Granitz Hunting Lodge, the Park of the Senses at Schmachter See, Prora the Colossus of Rügen and, of course, the chalk coast and the island of Hiddensee.

More appearance than substance...!!
We were in the apartment for 14 days but it did not meet our expectations. You should invest some of the apartment's money back into the apartment! A bedside lamp was broken and they did not manage to bring a new one or deemed it necessary. The shower head was in terrible condition, we had to scrub it before we could shower. The beach chair was also unusable, everything was broken! There were many small things that were not in order. All in all, we would not recommend the apartment.

Super Ferienwohnung
I was in this vacation rental with my wife and two children. The apartment was very clean and the furnishings were chic and modern. The key was sent to us in advance, so we could enter the house without any problems. However, there is a contact person right next door if anything should be needed. The location is hard to beat as it is right on the peaceful Schmachter See and just a few minutes away from the shopping street and the sea. Will definitely rent one of these apartments again next year.
