The apartment and the location are top-notch. The only thing I missed was a small mini-oven for warming up rolls, etc. Furthermore, I missed a small radio. Otherwise, everything was great. Super hosts, super apartment. I will definitely be back soon.

The location of the accommodation was very well situated and quiet. The play barn was well equipped for young and old. There were good cycling paths on site. The fresh fish available in the nearby restaurants was highly recommended. The accommodation and the surroundings are suitable for families with and without children.

Wonderful place for vacation

We have been to the holiday home "Noordlücht" for the umpteenth time. This vacation was perfect again - even the East Frisian weather left hardly any wishes unfulfilled. Small but meaningful adjustments have been made since the last visit, such as a lockable bike garage behind the house. This is designed for 3 bikes. In the bedroom on the upper floor, there is now also a TV. Especially during the ongoing football World Cup, this can be relaxing. The house and the location are ideal for explorations in the surrounding area or as a starting point for cycling tours. In the evenings, the nearby swimming lake offers a nice opportunity for a little digestive walk. We have definitely not been here for the last time on vacation!

If you don't go on a mudflat hike during your vacation at the North Sea, you're missing one of the country's greatest attractions. The Wadden Sea National Park is divided into the Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Lower Saxony Wadden Sea. All three parts are part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. It's best to book a guided tour, as no one can provide you with more information about the nature reserve than a knowledgeable local staff member. Along the North Sea and on the islands, there are information centers with informative exhibitions that are also very interesting for children. The National Park House Wurster North Sea Coast in Dorum-Neufeld features large aquariums where you can watch some inhabitants of the mudflats live in action. The Multimar Wattforum in the cozy harbor town of Tönning is another information center, the largest in Schleswig-Holstein. The fact that the water isn't really there at low tide often doesn't bother little water rats much. There's so much to discover in the mudflats that boredom is unlikely to arise. Plus, the kids will love stomping in the muddy silt. Make sure they take off their rubber boots before returning to the accommodation after such a hike. Families are especially found on the Eiderstedt Peninsula, on Borkum and Amrum, but also in Friedrichskoog and St. Peter-Ording in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as in Cuxhaven-Döse. Here, there are great beaches and numerous affordable vacation apartments and houses in close proximity to the beach and in quiet locations. If it happens to rain for three days, a visit to the adventure pool on Borkum will bring back the good mood. This is also true for parents, as it has a generous spa area.
