Family atmosphere

We were at Villa Sanus for the 2nd time, anytime again.
There is a familiar atmosphere, every day someone from the family comes and asks if everything is okay, you get good tips for beaches or restaurants.
We feel very comfortable there.

Relaxing vacation

If we want to go to Istria, then we come here. We were here 3 times this year. Great apartment, very clean and well maintained. A large and clean pool rounds off the whole thing. Short distances to Pula, Fasana and the sea. If you need help, the hosts are always ready to help. This year there was a surprise for our daughter's birthday. Thank you again for that. We were not the last time in this beautiful spot on earth.

How do I come to Valbandon?

Just a stone's throw from Northern Europe

The small settlement of Valbandon is located a few kilometers north of Pula near Fažana on the Istrian Adriatic coast. You can easily reach your private holiday home in Valbandon via Pula Airport, which is about 20 minutes away by car. With your own car, the journey from southern Germany takes about seven hours and leads you through Austria and Slovenia. Please note that some highways on the route are subject to tolls.

Meat (lamb, goat, chicken) or octopus is cooked with white wine, vegetables, and garlic for several hours. Croatian wines deserve a chapter of their own, having made an incredible leap in quality over the last twenty years. Try the Vrbnička Žlahtina from the island of Krk – along with sheep's cheese from the island of Krk and air-dried ham (pršut).

There are numerous sights to discover around your holiday apartment in Valbandon – first and foremost the impressive amphitheater in Pula, one of the largest amphitheaters of the Romans, which is also excellently preserved, so that numerous open-air events take place in the arena during the summer months. In ancient times, gladiator fights and even sea battles were staged in the amphitheater, which could hold up to 26,000 spectators. Animal lovers will enjoy the beach of Verudela, where the almost extinct Mediterranean monk seals can be admired. But please – keep your distance and do not disturb the animals. Out in the Adriatic, the island group Brijuni (Italian Brioni) can be seen from the beach. The 14 islands of the archipelago are under nature protection. The main island was a fashionable holiday destination for the aristocracy in earlier centuries. There are guided tours to Brijuni from Fažana.
