We felt very comfortable.

Well-equipped apartment with great view of the bay from the terrace. Very nice contact with the landlords. Everything within walking distance in the village, but always stairs or the mountain path to overcome ;-) Freshly renovated football field with basketball hoop in the immediate vicinity.

A dream house

We were a total of 7 people and 3 dogs in this beautifully equipped house. The homeowners were super friendly and there was absolutely no problem with our 3 dogs. The house was very clean. The pool was also cleaned regularly. The location is also simply top, no matter which direction you drive, you come to beautiful beaches everywhere!

Pros: large, very clean, lovingly furnished flat, landlord very nice, great view, large balcony, price, restaurants and promenade within walking distance (lots of steps, but ok for us)

Cons: a little more crockery and sharp knives (but we got by with that too)

How is the weather in Rabac?

The climate in Istria

Istria is located on the northern Adriatic Sea and has different climatic zones. In the south, where Rabac is located, there is a Mediterranean climate. The average maximum temperatures in summer are around 28 °C during the day and about 20 °C at night. For swimming in the sea, pleasant water temperatures above 18 °C are suitable from mid-May to October. In August, the water temperature can reach up to 25 °C. The sun shines very long and intensely in summer. Rabac is therefore ideally suited for a beach vacation. The winters in Istria are relatively mild. In Rabac, frost and snow only occur in exceptional cases. The temperatures usually only drop to a range between 3 and 7 °C. Rainfall is to be expected throughout the year. On average, between 60 and 120 millimeters of rain per month. This rainfall is spread over 7 to 9 rainy days per month. The most hours of sunshine are in summer with an average of 7 to 9 hours of sunshine per day, while in winter it is mostly cloudy, and the duration of sunshine decreases significantly.

The region around Rabac has a turbulent history. Over the centuries, it fell under Croatian, Italian, French, and Austrian rule. Today, you can admire many historical buildings in Rabac and the neighboring town of Labin, which bear witness to the different cultures.
