Perfect accommodation for a great vacation

The house leaves almost nothing to be desired; the only small flaw is that you have to bring towels and bed linen. But there is a washing machine for that. We were here over Christmas and New Year's Eve, enjoyed the peace and the great surroundings, and made many excursions. The house is very cozy, everything you need is available, the location is top, and we felt at home. We will definitely come back. Thank you very much!

Perfect break by the lake – cozy, warm-hearted, well-equipped

We (young couple, early 30s) spent an extended weekend in this lovingly furnished holiday apartment and were completely thrilled. The apartment is very warm and cozy – you can immediately tell that a lot of value has been placed on details.

Especially nice is the quiet location: In just 5 minutes, you can walk to the lake, ideal for walks or a little morning round. A real highlight for us was the clinker grill in the garden – simply perfect for a relaxed barbecue evening! There were fresh eggs from the farm around the corner – it doesn't get better than that.

The kitchen is excellently equipped: plenty of dishes, large pots, a dishwasher – you can really cook here if you want. Also practical: the washing machine is right in the bathroom – ideal for longer stays or active vacations. Last but not least, we would like to mention the warm landlords – incredibly friendly and helpful, we felt welcome right away.

For us, it was a completely successful break – we will definitely be happy to come back!

In and around Aurich, there are numerous raised bog areas: Kollrunger Moor, Brockzeteler Moor, Berumerfehner-Meerhusener Moor, and the Ewiges Meer Nature Reserve and its surroundings. The centerpiece is the Eternal Sea, the largest raised bog lake in Germany. Surrounding the city are numerous larger and smaller nature reserves and natural monuments. Make a detour to the Großsteingrab Tannenhausen. This is a 5,000-year-old megalithic tomb of the Funnel Beaker culture. Artifacts discovered during research, such as bowls, funnel beakers, shoulder vessels, collar bottles, and stone tools, are displayed in the Historical Museum. Admission for adults is €5, and for children only €2.50. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM (as of November 2023). In Aurich itself, a tour through the city is worthwhile. Numerous buildings are under monument protection. Landmarks include the Lambertikirche and the small Pingelhus at the former harbor. Experience authentic Aurich at Drogerie Maaß. The drugstore has been family-owned since 1855, and stepping inside feels like traveling back centuries. A similarly quaint experience can be had at Aurich's oldest pub, "Zur ewigen Lampe."
