Nice clean holiday home, everything is present. Cozy decor, also nice the fly screens and shutters. Bathroom is small but everything is clean, which is important, enough bath towels available.

A dream of a holiday home

I don't even know where to start: the holiday home has everything you need. From trash bags to hair dryers, sewing kits, waffle makers, multiple sets of dishes, to plenty of bath towels, loungers, and an infrared sauna (which we didn't have to use thanks to the wonderful weather) - everything is there! :)
Chairs inside and outside, couches and beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms (or bathroom and toilet) are tidy and modern, water pressure is fine. Only the internet is a bit finicky, but that is - as almost everywhere in Germany - due to the lack of expansion/connection in terms of fiber optics and will surely resolve itself. The garden area is great and the path to the swimming lake is a breeze - either along the traffic-calmed street or through the settlement, both just a short walk. We are simply thrilled and have booked again right away. We are looking forward to next year. :)

In and around Aurich, there are numerous raised bog areas: Kollrunger Moor, Brockzeteler Moor, Berumerfehner-Meerhusener Moor, and the Ewiges Meer Nature Reserve and its surroundings. The centerpiece is the Eternal Sea, the largest raised bog lake in Germany. Surrounding the city are numerous larger and smaller nature reserves and natural monuments. Make a detour to the Großsteingrab Tannenhausen. This is a 5,000-year-old megalithic tomb of the Funnel Beaker culture. Admission for adults is €5, and for children only €2.50. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM (as of November 2023). In Aurich itself, a tour through the city is worthwhile. Numerous buildings are under monument protection. Landmarks include the Lambertikirche and the small Pingelhus at the former harbor. Experience authentic Aurich at Drogerie Maaß.
