Perfect holiday home

Our absolute favorite house in Tannenhausen, quiet location on the edge of the settlement, beautiful property, very well equipped, maintained, and very clean.
We especially like that there is a bedroom on the ground floor with a separate bathroom. The second spacious bedroom with a generous shower room is on the upper floor, and there is also a children's room with a single bed.
The house is attractively furnished and decorated, and we didn't miss anything in the kitchen. A welcome greeting and drinks are ready upon arrival.
Ms. Hellmers takes care of her guests warmly and is easily reachable.
We would be happy to come back.

Dear Hellmers family,
We felt completely at home in your house. Great layout, generous entrance area, and as a result, the staircase to the first floor is separated from the living area. Very good equipment, very, very clean. Warm welcome from Mrs. Hellmers.
As we spent the turn of the year in Tannenhausen, we cannot assess the amenities of the bathing lake. All in all, a good location with an unobstructed view of the lake.

Perfectly equipped for our family.

We stayed in this great house for the third time this year. The facilities leave nothing to be desired. Especially the little ones are well taken care of here. Everything is super clean and the contact with the landlord is very friendly and relaxed. A special plus for us is the sandbox in the enclosed garden, from which our little rascal cannot easily run away.

Join us in the moor! In and around Aurich, there are numerous raised bog areas: Kollrunger Moor, Brockzeteler Moor, Berumerfehner-Meerhusener Moor, and the Ewiges Meer Nature Reserve and its surroundings. The centerpiece is the Eternal Sea, the largest raised bog lake in Germany. Surrounding the city are numerous larger and smaller nature reserves and natural monuments. Make a detour to the Großsteingrab Tannenhausen. This is a 5,000-year-old megalithic tomb of the Funnel Beaker culture. Artifacts discovered during research, such as bowls, funnel beakers, shoulder vessels, collar bottles, and stone tools, are displayed in the Historical Museum. Admission for adults is €5, and for children only €2.50. It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM (as of November 2023). In Aurich itself, a tour through the city is worthwhile. Numerous buildings are under monument protection. Landmarks include the Lambertikirche and the small Pingelhus at the former harbor. Experience authentic Aurich at Drogerie Maaß. The drugstore has been family-owned since 1855, and stepping inside feels like traveling back centuries. A similarly quaint experience can be had at Aurich's oldest pub, "Zur ewigen Lampe."

The open-air museum depicts the often arduous history of settlement in the pristine moor landscape. From the history of the region, it's just a step into the 21st century, to the present and its art. A popular photo motif for visitors is the Sous-Turm at Aurich's market square, a 25-meter-high sculpture by artist Albert Sous. New and modern is also the Energy and Experience Center, which playfully approaches the energy sources of the future. The Aurich Art Association invites renowned contemporary artists to exhibitions in the pavilion.
