Absolutely recommendable holiday home.

We were very impressed. Price/performance TOP. If you want peace, to live in nature and near the sea, this is the right place. A large garden that invites you to relax and offers space for children to play. All in all, the equipment was also very good, even toys (frisbee, badminton, etc.) were available. We would like to vacation here again.

Holiday home plus relaxation guaranteed

We felt very comfortable in the house with four adults. As a small suggestion, a small carport outside for cooler and rainy days would be desirable. We would have been very happy about that, especially since then the chairs would be dry in the morning

Very nice and well maintained house

We had a great time here.
We didn't want for anything, and it's easy to get to the beach from here. There are plenty of shopping facilities in the town centre of Wittmund.
The landlords are very friendly and helpful.

Protected from the winds in a beach chair or lying on a sun mat, you can enjoy not just the typical "green beach" of the North Sea coast, but a fine white sandy beach! Fly kites, let the little ones splash in the shallow shore, and even learn to surf and sail – in Wittmund, the vacation days fly by! The district of Harlesiel has a charming marina where you can stroll beautifully or explore the rivers and tidal creeks on a paddle steamer. A ferry takes you to Wangerooge and guarantees a wonderful excursion for you and your loved ones! Animal lovers will experience a wonderful vacation with dogs in the region, as Wittmund offers many green spaces for both two- and four-legged friends along the river, in the salt marshes, or in the expansive Wittmund forest with its rare sweet chestnuts, a special forest moor, and the intriguing "Pingo Ruin." Fish is often preferred pickled (herring, rollmops), traditionally also dried, and especially smoked. Smoked eel is a real delicacy due to its rarity. However, you can opt for other delicious fish varieties offered warm and richly aromatic in numerous smokehouses! The freshly caught shrimp landing at the locks are another top specialty, but this delicacy is heavily affected by overfishing and is becoming smaller... The best way to enjoy fish is "in a bun," and thus you will find fish bun stations ("Buden") all along the East Frisian coast. In winter, you must try the hearty "kale with sausage," and throughout the year, you can sample "Labskaus." This preference is not unique to East Frisia but common along the entire North German coast. Regional specialties include "Snirtjebraten" or "Rintjebraten": pork or beef marinated in a special recipe usually involving cloves, juniper berries, bay leaves, and allspice. East Frisians create numerous delicious specialties from dairy and whey products. Just the regional butter or buttermilk products ("Buttermilchbrei") are delicious. When it comes to unique East Frisian specialties, you can't miss the Frisian tea culture! The black tea blend "East Frisian tea" is enjoyed refined with Kluntje (rock candy) and cold Wulkje (cream cloud). Stirring this tea is considered a sin! With it, East Frisians eat the New Year's pastry, "Rullekes," hard waffles rolled into horns, and "Speckendicken," a pancake-like pastry from the pan.
