Really good

We spent the Easter holidays in the beautiful flat and were very satisfied. The pet park is fantastic, especially for our two children. The small holiday resort offers the best variety and stress-free holidays, especially for families with children.

Werdum from its most beautiful side

The flat Schiffsjunge with the large balcony is super. Everything is very clean and well maintained, the manager is very friendly. Only the steep stairs take some getting used to. There are many possibilities for excursions around Werdum. You can go shopping in Neuharlingersiel and Essens. The peace and quiet and the pet park are soothing.

Apartment with terrace

We discovered the air spa town of Werdum for the first time. The whole town was beautifully planted. The petting zoo is something unique. The apartment is furnished in a timeless way, and we immediately felt comfortable. The gastronomy in Werdum and the surrounding area requires a prior reservation. It's a pity that the Kneipp hall was closed due to Corona.

Which sights are there in Werdum?

Attractions with East Frisian Charm

Among the most beautiful destinations in this region is the medieval castle Edenserloog. The small moats enchant as you walk around the castle before your tour, examining it for traces of the Thirty Years' War. At the Werdumer Mill, a lovingly arranged local history museum awaits you. The mill was built in 1802 and is open for visits from Friday to Sunday from 7 AM to 5 PM. (As of November 2023) Another highlight among Werdum's attractions is the St. Nicolai Church, whose history dates back to the 13th century.

What do you need to experience in Werdum?

Perfect for Dog and Classic Car Enthusiasts

Your pet can look forward to undisturbed, refreshing hours at the North Sea spa in East Frisia near your private vacation rental in Werdum. During your vacation with your dog, you can discover many Nordic walking paths as well as beaches, hiking, and biking trails. Werdum also has a lot to offer for classic car enthusiasts. The Classic Car Show provides an opportunity to take a seat in the passenger seat of the old, lovingly maintained vehicles and discover Werdum from a completely new perspective.

What can you experience in Werdum with children?

UNESCO World Natural Heritage, Action, and Animals – Werdum Offers Something for Everyone

The Werdum Miniature Train, affectionately called "Racing Kalle," takes you through all of Werdum. The ride passes by the forge, the old mill, and of course, the chieftain's castle Edenserloog as well as St. Nicolai Church. This way, you can experience the most beautiful sights of Werdum for €2.50 per person in just about 30 minutes. (As of November 2023) For younger and older children, the Werdum Pet Park is a tempting offer. Donkeys, goats, as well as laughing doves or the Emden goose find plenty of space on a petting meadow. Your child will definitely look forward to visiting the Seawater Wave Pool, which is ideal for cooler days. Inside, the warm water; outside, the magnificent panorama of the North Sea.

Where can I eat out in Werdum?

Enjoy Your Meal!

The East Frisian national drink – tea – is traditionally served with white rock candy, Kluntje, and a dollop of cream. In many cafes and restaurants close to your private Werdum vacation rental, you can try the tea ceremony yourself. The fine taste of milk and cheese is no coincidence. The cheeseries of East Frisia are to blame. In the Melkhuskes, small milk houses, you can taste the freshness. Quality and taste combined with the North Sea climate and freshly caught fish make East Frisia a culinary delight, which you can enjoy in the kitchen of your vacation rental in Werdum.

What is a must-see in Werdum?

From Schnapps to Bricks

To get to know East Frisia and its customs better, you should visit the Brick Museum. The vibrant Blue Printing Workshop in Jever displays traditional blue prints, illustrative techniques, and presents printing blocks that are up to 300 years old. You can visit the exhibition Monday to Friday from 11 AM to 5 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM for €7. (As of November 2023) At the Museum Village Dörpmuseum Münkeboe, a fully restored windmill and various workshops await you: cobblers, painters, coopers, and tailors talk about everyday life in times gone by. Your day will be so idyllic that you'll look forward to a schnapps at the museum village's distillery afterward. The Historical Museum Forge is another ace up your sleeve when discovering Werdum. The old forge has been authentically reconstructed and impresses with exciting demonstrations of blacksmithing.
