Our holiday home by the lake offers you space for up to 6 people on a total living area of almost 80 sqm.
It is equipped with:
- a generously furnished living room with adjoining kitchen area on the ground floor
- two bedrooms with 3 beds each on the upper floor
- spacious bathroom with shower and WC on the ground floor

- A log cabin belongs to the holiday home, where you can retreat for a while

The surroundings
The village of Tannenhausen is only about 6 kilometres from the district town of Aurich and only about 20 minutes by car from the North Sea coast.
From Tannenhausen you can reach all the sights of East Frisia in a short time.
In the immediate vicinity in a northerly direction you will find the largest high moor lake in Germany - the Ewige Meer (Eternal Sea) - in the midst of a 400 ha high moor landscape you will find a unique natural landscape here in East Frisia, which is one of the rare landscapes that has remained in its original form for mankind.
Bathing opportunities
The bathing lake in Aurich-Tannenhausen borders directly on our holiday home. You can walk to the beach in less than 5 minutes. The lake is located in the middle of the Tannenhausen recreation area. The lake offers a long sandy beach with a very large sunbathing lawn. Groundwater flows through the lake, there is no groundwater inflow or outflow. Because of the white pebble beach, locals jokingly call it the "Rimini of East Frisia". The lake has been certified as having the best water quality for years. Bathing is supervised by the DLRG. The ADAC and also the TV magazine TV Hören und Sehen have rated the bathing lake among the best 50 bathing lakes in Germany. So the lake is also ideal for bathing with children. There is a separate, 1.5-metre-deep non-swimmer area and shallow-sloping shore zones. There is also a slide, a playground and water toys for hire. In addition to a kiosk, there are also boat, bicycle and beach chair/lounger rentals at the lake. In the kiosk located directly at the lake, visitors will find an opportunity to linger over coffee, cappuccino or a cold drink with a view of the lake. You, as our guests spending your holiday at the bathing lake, will also find a place here, either indoors or outdoors, to have a small meal.
Fishing opportunities
The Tannenhausen lake has a total size of approx. 0.2 square kilometres with a depth of up to 20 metres. There are designated fishing areas for anglers. These are within walking distance of our holiday home (approx. 100 m). You can fish here mainly for eel, perch, bream, pike, carp, tench and zander. The necessary guest permits can be purchased at various issuing points. You as our guests enjoy the advantage that, if you wish, we can obtain the fishing permits for you in advance. However, it is then necessary that you send us a copy of your "fishing certificate" with the return of the rental contract. If you still need fishing equipment, you can buy it in the shops in Aurich (3 km away) or Moordorf (6 km away). In our holiday home you will also find a water map with other fishing waters in the vicinity. If you are interested in a fishing trip on the North Sea (for mackerel), we would be happy to give you the necessary information or to register you for a possible trip. However, there are only a limited number of places available on a fishing boat. This so-called mackerel fishing usually takes place at the weekend. We will of course be happy to provide you with more details on request.

Summer is never boring at the Tannenhausen bathing lake. The beach volleyball and beach soccer courts as well as the 50m swimming lanes offer plenty of room for exercise. The DLRG-supervised bathing beach invites you to relax, and SUP, pedal boat rental and JetGolf are available on site for a fee.
The spectator terrace and beach club provide a relaxed atmosphere and a real "beach feeling". NEW in 2021: AQUAPARK, huge water fun for the whole family!Jumping from diving towers up to 3.50m high, being catapulted through the air by an air cushion, climbing exciting climbing towers, sliding down big slides into crystal clear water, balancing, shimmying or jumping into the water on the big water trampoline: On the floating water park, big and small participants experience an exciting day at the bathing lake Tannenhausen.- the largest floating water park in East Frisia.- Rodeo Splash in the shallow water for the very young.- Different routes and difficulty levels also for the sporty and ambitious.

Expectations exceeded.
We spent 1 week in the beautiful and well-equipped holiday home. And it will not be the last time. We didn't do any fishing but found lots of mushrooms. The landlords are very, very nice people and I'll see you next time.

Eine schöne Woche
Wir waren gerade 1 Woche im Ferienhaus von Familie Janssen. Wir haben es sehr genossen. Da wir öfter in Aurich sind ( die Kinder wohnen dort ) haben wir auch schon andere Unterkünfte kennengelernt. Diese Unterkunft seht mit an oberster Stelle. Von dort aus kann man sehr schöne Fahrradtouren machen. Und für die Fahrräder steht ein kleiner Schuppen zur Verfügung. Die Familie Janssen hat uns besucht und es war schön Sie kennenzulernen. Auch die nähe zum Badesee ist super, da kann man morgens schon mal ein Spaziergang um den See machen. Gerne kommen wir nochmal wieder .

Toller Urlaub
Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub von 3 Wochen am Stück genossen. Wir können das Ferienhaus wirklich nur empfehlen. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist nicht zu Topen. Wir fühlen uns hier wohl und kommen immer wieder gern hier hin. Sollte mal nicht etwas vorhanden sein, einfach den Vermieter bescheid geben und dann wir er dieses zur befriedenheit erledigen. Und so sollte der Urlaub auch sein.

Wir haben eine schöne Woche gehabt. Aber das haben wir immer wenn wir bei Helmut sind. Das Haus wurde Super toll neu eingerichtet. Treppe, Sofa, Makise. Das hat uns sehr gefreut. Und das tollste? Ab ende des Jahres gibts auch hier Wlan. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder. Lg Peggy und Jochen

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus
Tolles Ferienhaus in ruhiger Lage mit sehr guter Ausstattung. Informationen über die Umgebung erhielten wir von der sehr netten Familie Janssen. Wir und unser Hund haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Very beautiful holiday
We had a very nice holiday here. The holiday home is absolutely top equipped and very clean. We felt well looked after by the Janssen family. They gave us lots of tips for things to do in the surrounding area. But we also liked the resort itself with its own bathing beach, water skiing area and dog beach. Our dog learned to swim there ;-)
Conclusion: We will gladly come back again :-)

Einmalig
Wir waren schon oft bei Fam. Janssen zu Gast. Würden auch immer wieder Buchen. Das Haus ist einfach Super. Hier hat man seine Ruhe und kann seinen Urlaub voll genießen. Die Vermieter sind einfach Top. Wir freuen uns schon auf den Sommer wieder da zu sein.

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus
Wir waren von dem Haus sehr begeistert.Es ist in einem sehr guten Zustand.Es ist sehr gut ausgestattet das einzige was uns gefehlt hat war eine Waschmaschine.Die Wendeltreppe ist sehr eng und gewöhnungsbedürftig.Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Wir freuen uns auf den nächsten Urlaub im Haus am See

Tolles Ferienhaus
Hier findet man alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub benötigt.
Das Haus ist sehr gepflegt, sauber und gemütlich. Gute Ausstattung in der Küche, das Badezimmer toll eingerichtet.
Der Vermieter ist sympathisch, freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Auch unser Hund hat sich dort wohl gefühlt.
Nur die Treppe ins OG ist gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Tolles Haus für wenig Geld
Wir hatten sehr schöne Urlaubstage in einem gut eingerichteten Ferienhaus.
Incl. Spülmaschine,Grill und Fahrräder.Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt.
Zum Abkühlen ist der Tannenhäuser Badesee mit Wasserskianlage direkt um die Ecke und der Hundestrand mit Agilitie in Nessmersiel in 15min.mit dem Auto erreichbar.
Sehr nette Vermieter.Allein die enge Wendeltreppe war etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Erholungsurlaub pur
Ich habe dieses Ferienhaus vor Jahren in einer Angelzeitschrift entdeckt, den Vermieter kontaktiert und nach einem längeren Gespräch sofort gebucht. Wir fahren nun schon 10 Jahre immer wieder dorthin um Urlaub zu machen, denn dort sind auch Hunde herzlich willkommen.
Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in der Nähe von einem Badesee, wo es auch einen extra abgeteilten Hundestrand gibt. Mit dem Auto erreicht man Einkaufsmöglichkeiten innerhalb von 15 Minuten, es kommt natürlich immer darauf an wo man hinfährt. Aurich erreicht man mit dem Auto z.B. schon in 5 Minuten.
Das Ferienhaus ist immer sauber, ordentlich, gepflegt und gut ausgestattet. Sollte aber doch mal was fehlen oder defekt sein, ist es nur ein Anruf und Familie Janssen kümmert sich um Ersatz.
Familie Janssen sind sehr herzliche Vermieter und das Ferienhaus ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Tolles Haus und ganz liebe herzliche Vermieter
Das Haus hat eine super lage, toller Badesee in unmittelbarer Nähe - keine 5 Minuten zu Fuß. An diesem Badesee gibt es auch einen extra abgeteilten Hundestrand. Mit dem Auto erreicht man in ca 10 Minuten verschiedene Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Das “Örtchen“ Esens hat einen ganz persönlichen Charme und ist ein Ausflug wert.
Über die Ausstattung des Hauses kann man sich in keinster Weise beschweren, selbst wenn mal etwas fehlen sollte oder defekt ist kümmern sich die Vermieter direkt um Ersatz - dies ist ja nicht überall so...
Meine Eltern fahren jedes Jahr dorthin und das sagt ja schon einiges aus. Ich fahre auch immer wieder gerne nach Tannenhausen und kann es nur weiter empfehlen!!!!
Also, wer einen schönen Urlaub in Ostfriesland machen möchte sollte auf jeden Fall bei der Familie Janssen buchen...
