Well rested.

The holiday home is truly a gem and leaves nothing to be desired in terms of amenities, space, and comfort! Lovingly and tastefully furnished. The garden is also top-notch.
For hiking enthusiasts or mushroom foragers, the nearby area is optimal.
In five minutes, the swimming spot in Neukloster is reachable.
Excursions to Wismar, Schwerin, and Warnemünde can be reached in a short time.

Well-maintained holiday apartment

The well-maintained apartment is located on the outskirts of Boltenhagen in a quiet residential area.
A private parking space is available, and the furnishings leave nothing to be desired.
In addition to a fully equipped kitchen, we were welcomed by a large living room, two bedrooms with comfortable beds, and a bathroom with a shower.
The apartment is on the first floor with access via an external staircase. Shopping options are available in the immediate vicinity, and the beach promenade can also be reached on foot in just a few minutes.
We felt very comfortable there and would gladly come back.
We can recommend the apartment.

Holiday home 39b on the edge of the holiday village

The holiday home is located on the edge of the resort, offering a beautiful view of nature without disturbing buildings. We enjoyed the silence on the terrace. The house is nicely furnished and very clean. Everything you need on vacation is available, just like at home. For example, spare batteries, a spare bicycle tube, tools, etc. The landlady is reachable and helpful in quickly solving any existing problems. Our conclusion: for us seniors (86 and 88 years) an optimal vacation spot. We will gladly come back.

What do you need to experience in Nordwestmecklenburg?

Nature and Culture – City, Countryside, and Lakes

Your holiday home or private vacation apartment in Northwest Mecklenburg offers plenty of excursion destinations and attractions. Whether nature or culture, countryside or city, sea or lakes – within a few kilometers, there is something for everyone. Start your exploration in the old Hanseatic city of Wismar with its magnificent buildings in Nordic Brick Gothic style (such as St. Mary's Church and the town hall on the market square). Since 2002, the old town has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the City History Museum and the World Heritage House, you can learn all about the long history of this significant Hanseatic city. Things are more relaxed in the seaside resort of Boltenhagen. The pier extends a proud 290 meters into the Baltic Sea. In the harbor with its adventure fishing, maritime flair abounds. To the west of Boltenhagen lies the municipality of Kalkhorst. Here, several magnificent manor houses and castles are located. Kalkhorst Castle dates back to the 19th century, the neoclassical estate of Groß Schwansee now houses a hotel. Also worth seeing is the Gut Hohen Schönberg, whose architectural history dates back to the 13th century. In the inland areas of Northwest Mecklenburg, numerous moors and lakes, mostly designated as nature reserves, are located.

What can you experience in Nordwestmecklenburg with children?

Vacation with Family and Dog

The beaches along the Baltic coast provide excellent conditions for a successful seaside holiday with the whole family. At Wohlenberger Wiek, there's something for everyone, whether you want to relax on the beach, prefer walking on the cliffs and dunes, or dive into the cool waters. The sandy coast offers a shallow water zone suitable for small children. The bay is also a popular windsurfing area. At the steep coast in Boltenhagen, you can enjoy a view over the entire coastal stretch. Designated dog beaches along the coast make a holiday with a dog in Northwest Mecklenburg a pleasure. The four-legged family members can frolic and swim to their heart's content.

Where can I eat out in Nordwestmecklenburg?

Enjoying Mecklenburg's Baltic Coast

Fish is a staple on the menus of restaurants around your holiday home or apartment in Northwest Mecklenburg – whether from the sea (flounder, herring, cod, and eel) or from inland waters (pike-perch, carp, perch, and pike). Each fish has its season. March and April are herring season. Then comes the garfish with green bones, also known as May eel, which is a delicacy. Speaking of eel and delicacies – you should try eel in dill sauce. At many fish stalls and often directly from the fishermen, you can get smoked fish hot from the smoking barrels. Our restaurant recommendation for the Baltic resort Boltenhagen: At Blinkfür, fish is served fresh from the catch and from their own smokehouse. From the fields and farms come pork and poultry as well as cabbage, beets, and potatoes, which in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania are called Tüften. Autumn is game season. The coastal forests are rich in game such as deer and wild boar, as well as hare. A peculiarity of Mecklenburg cuisine is the preference for combining sweet and savory. Kale is served with raisins, goose comes with prunes, and game is served with lingonberries.

How do I come to Nordwestmecklenburg?
