Holiday home Klabautermann - anytime again.

Dear landlord, we had a great stay with four people and a dog in your very well-equipped, clean and cozy holiday home, which corresponded to the description in every way. The only downside: a large pot for spaghetti would be desirable, but that's just complaining at a high level. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are big, the garden is large and well-kept. The contact with the landlady was uncomplicated (a broken light bulb was delivered after 2 days) and very nice.

The house is located in a quiet, well-kept holiday home area. Extensive walks to the beach about 1 km away, in the morning and evening accompanied by the flight of the cranes over our heads, trips to Travemünde, Lübeck, Boltenhagen, Wismar and Schwerin and even beach days and swimming in the Baltic Sea in perfect weather have definitely brought us closer to this region. We would love to come back. Thank you very much ☺️.

Most beautiful holiday home in recent years

Quite spontaneously, my mother, my dogs and I were able to rent this holiday home.

Until now, I often had certain expectations of the holiday home I had booked from the pictures on the internet, which unfortunately did not quite correspond to reality.

Here, for the first time, it was the other way round. Everything we found was lovely, well thought-out, practical and we felt right at home.

The garden is exceptionally large, the fence is sturdy and of high quality, the garage right next to the house is perfect.
My mother's first impression on entering the house was the same as mine: "But this is beautiful here".

Downstairs is a hallway with a bedroom, a great bathroom with a big shower and a very large, bright and cosy living-dining area leading off. The kitchen is really well equipped and we had everything there that we could imagine.

Sofa and armchairs are comfortable, the view through the large windows is great. Pleated blinds on all the windows allow you to customise the privacy and sunlight.

On the first floor there are two more large bedrooms with TV and a large bathroom with bathtub.

What more could you want? We felt very comfortable in the house and would definitely come back again.

P.S.: When we arrived, there was a small problem with the new key safe, which was solved within a few minutes by Mrs. Winter without any problems.

The exterior promises what the interior unfortunately did not deliver.

The property is well-maintained.

It is assumed that the landlords have not been able to check the condition of the house's equipment for a long time. Unfortunately, I did not find the "very well-equipped kitchen." Tea drinkers were forgotten, as there is no teapot or warmer. Only one wooden spoon was present, which is a spatula/turner, not another spoon, potato masher or large kitchen knife. Of the two frying pans, only one was usable in my opinion, as the Teflon layer was coming off the entire bottom of the other pan. One cooking pot was missing the handle on the lid. Only one oven mitt was available. The glasses seemed to me to be mismatched.
So, if you CAN cook and want to do so on vacation, you should definitely bring your own utensils.
We had major issues with the pillows, the filling in all pillows was clumped and hard. The mattresses were unfortunately very uncomfortable for us. The 3rd chair from picture 6/29 is missing and the bed from picture 14/29 creaks with every movement.

Regarding the "sparkling clean accommodation," I can say that dead flies were on the pleated blind and the windowsill in the living room, and in the ground floor bathroom, long dust threads were hanging from the window.

The seating furniture in the living room facing the TV is worn out and this cannot be explained by the simplicity of the furniture. The chair that is positioned differently is perfectly comfortable.

If you like cranes, this is the right place for you, as they fly almost directly over the property.

Unfortunately, only one point for service, as the available bicycles could not be used. That's a pity.

Looking for the "Klabautermann"?

We did not find the Klabautermann, it was too quiet.

We experienced peace, relaxation, and satisfaction in the 2 weeks.

The holiday home is very tastefully furnished and fully equipped.
All rooms were clean; terrace and garden very well maintained.

Our dog could romp around on the nearby natural beach, and we could enjoy the sun and beach life. Mecklenburg with its avenues and endless expanses is a sight to behold; Wismar with its historically significant old town and ancient harbor: worth seeing.

All in all, a splendid and unforgettable vacation time. The "Klabautermann" is highly recommended to the stressed vacationer, as they will return balanced to everyday life.

We will definitely come back.

Beautiful stay in a very nice vacation home

The house offers everything one could wish for, the equipment leaves nothing to be desired, and the location near the Baltic Sea completes the picture. Apart from one night (disco noises in Travemünde on Saturday to Sunday), it was absolutely quiet, generally quiet during the day. So, if you want to find peace after these turbulent times, this is the right place for you! The property is fenced (good for dogs, etc.), the October sun flooded the rooms! One can reach the beach in 10 minutes, Travemünde in 10 minutes by car, and Lübeck (20) and Schwerin at a distance of 50 km, making it ideal to plan day trips from this beautiful accommodation. With pure nature all around, one can enjoy extensive walks. For example, a 6 km walk along the beach to Travemünde is a great option! We have this house on our radar and will return! Whether with or without pets, children, it fits perfectly in every way!

We can highly recommend the house.

We deducted one star for the equipment, as the sofa is quite worn out and urgently needs to be replaced. We also missed an explanation for the TV remote control and were somewhat surprised that for a house which can theoretically be inhabited by 3 couples, only one house key is provided. One would expect at least 2 keys. The location is ideal for those seeking tranquility, at least during the off-season, but you need a car for almost everything. Especially suitable for dogs, as the entire property is fenced in.

House for feeling good

We stayed in this beautiful house with great facilities for a week. The large bathrooms were very clean. It is lovingly furnished and decorated, and nothing is missing (there is even a waffle iron and a Dolce Gusto machine). The beach is quickly accessible and not crowded, and you can enjoy lovely bike tours. We felt very comfortable and highly recommend Haus Klabautermann.

Zum Entspannen

We had a wonderfully relaxed summer vacation in this very well-equipped, thoughtfully and lovingly furnished holiday home and immediately felt at home. - Those looking for a natural beach far away from tourist hustle and bustle will find Barendorf to be just the right place. Lübeck and Wismar are, of course, always worth a (day) trip.

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

We found a lovingly furnished holiday property in Barnsdorf.
The mattresses were a dream.
Never slept so heavenly anywhere else.
We were with 3 generations in this beautiful house.
Our dogs were also allowed to romp around on the property.

Holiday with dog

We were in Barendorf for the first time this year and can only rave about it.Small, quiet village in a beautiful landscape.If you want to get away from everyday stress and are looking for peace and quiet, this is the right place.Haus Klabautermann is lovingly and comfortably furnished, there is nothing missing here. Exactly as described by the landlord. The beach (dog beach) is within easy walking distance.The beach is awesome,we were there with our dog Athos,just great!!!! The contact with Mrs. Winter was very friendly. We have never experienced this before when renting a holiday home. We agree, if we want to escape the daily routine next year, this is our TOP DESTINATION!

Torn back and forth

At first glance, a fantastic holiday home!

Modern detached low-energy house with a fully fenced garden and a carport that allows for dry arrival and unloading of shopping even in bad weather.

Unfortunately, we only had access to the ground floor, so we did not have access to the upper floor where supposedly the advertised bathtub and bedroom with a TV were located. The kitchen was excellently equipped (for a vacation home), however, the extractor hood, including lighting, only worked with the kitchen window open, which is due to the design of the ventilation system.

The kitchen, dining area, and living room are located in a connected space, so there were no retreat options, except for the shower room and the bedroom.

Since the seating and lounging furniture (for us!) were unfortunately uncomfortable (straight wooden bench, leather sofa, low-backed chairs), we sat at the kitchen table on the dining chairs. Due to the fact that the weather conditions were unsuitable, we undertook many more trips than originally planned, which allowed us to see much, but the relaxation value was accordingly lower.

We traveled with a large dog, who was with us on the beach in a 15-minute walk. The most extensive walk led us along the beach to the passenger ferry to Priwall, where we crossed over to Travemünde to stroll around and have coffee. We returned later on the car ferry and along the hiking trail. Must-do:
- Beach walks in all directions
- Visit the Butterfly Park in Klütz
City tours to:
- Travemünde
- Lübeck
- Boltenhagen
- Schwerin
- Weimar
- Rostock and especially the St. Mary's Church here

As there are no shopping facilities within a radius of 12km (NORMA in Dassow), the landlords provide a bread roll service. The communication with Mrs. Winter was always characterized by appreciation, and the process was uncomplicated, even when we arrived early.

Great holiday with the whole family

Together with our two sons (3 & 5) we spent a wonderful 14 days in Haus Klabautermann. The location, room layout, furnishings and not least the fencing around the property were factors that enabled us to have a very relaxing and carefree holiday. The beach and water were remarkably clean, the shallow shore is ideal for the little ones. It was also great that the beach is a 20-minute walk away, even with small kids. But you can also rent a handy trolley for €5 per day at a nearby bike rental

From idyllically located Barendorf, you can reach many popular excursion destinations in Schleswig-Holstein as well as in MV within a radius of up to 90 minutes by car.

Finally, it should be emphasised that the entire process, handover and communication with the landlords was flawless and completely uncomplicated. That's what you want. As long as the prices remain stable, we will be very happy to come back.
