Highly recommended!

The apartment is tastefully furnished with a high feel-good factor. The building is located directly on the beach promenade. There is nothing to criticize; can only recommend it further.

Which sights are there in Heiligendamm?

Tracing the Nobility

Since the 19th century, Heiligendamm has been a popular meeting place for celebrities and nobility. This is evidenced by the beautiful classical buildings along the promenade, which is why it is also called the Pearl Necklace. Worth seeing are, for example, the Kurhaus from the early 19th century, built by Carl Theodor Severin and now used by the famous Grand Hotel Heiligendamm. Also visit the Burg Hohenzollern in Tudor style, the late classical Villa Perle, or the Alexandrinen-Cottage, which offers enchanting photo opportunities.

What do you need to experience in Heiligendamm?

Around Heiligendamm

Top tips on the Mecklenburg Baltic Sea coast include Rostock, the largest city in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Wismar with the starting point to the island of Poel, or Rerik, the Baltic seaside resort at the Salzhaff. Many of the popular excursion destinations are ideally reached by bike. Simply book a cozy accommodation in the seaside resort or an apartment, one of the villas, or a house with sea views, a terrace, sauna, and in a prime location, and enjoy a relaxing holiday according to your personal wishes with your family.

What can you experience in Heiligendamm with children?

The White City by the Sea

The seaside resort of Heiligendamm is not without reason called the white city by the sea. Explore with your family the beautiful white-painted historic houses on the beach, rent a beach chair, and enjoy the seaside. A holiday home or apartment is an ideal location for an unforgettable beach holiday in Heiligendamm. Enjoy the long, gently sloping beach and the lovely promenade, inviting you for hours of strolling. The beach stretches for several kilometers to Kühlungsborn in the west and Börgerende in the east. From the impressive pier, you can watch magnificent sunsets. Also recommended is a ride on the Molli Spa Railway, which takes you to Kühlungsborn. The Baltic Sea Border Tower in Börgerende is close to the beach and near the seaside resort of Nienhagen, making it perfect for a hike or a long walk. Also consider a trip to Rethwisch or rent bicycles and explore the area with your children from the saddle.

Where can I eat out in Heiligendamm?

Mecklenburg Fish Specialties

Settle into your cozy holiday accommodation and also explore the culinary world along the Baltic Sea coast. The kitchens are usually characterized by hearty and rustic home cooking. Main ingredients include freshly caught fish (especially herring), potatoes, beets, and cabbage. Fish sandwiches are ubiquitous, available not only at beachside snack bars but also in restaurants. Common varieties include smoked fish, matjes, Bismarck, salmon, and fish patty sandwiches. Smoked fish is always a popular choice along the coast. You can choose from options like sliced salmon, mackerel, Schillerlocken, flounder, eel, halibut, butterfish, or trout. For a good Mecklenburg meal, try the Ducal Waiting Room at the Molli Spa Railway Station in Heiligendamm. For something pricier yet tasty, head to the Jagdhaus Heiligendamm on Seedeichstraße. Right next door is the Strandpunkt with delicious fish and sausage dishes and an espresso bar. The Deck Beach Club at the children's beach is both a restaurant and a beach bar. Here you can enjoy dishes from around the world and even rent beach chairs and boards for Stand Up Paddling. Enjoy a cold drink at sunset on the local pier.

What is a must-see in Heiligendamm?

Churches, Minsters, and Ghosts

Religious highlights include the neo-Gothic Evangelical Forest Church and the Catholic Sacred Heart Forest Chapel. Use your location with a holiday home or apartment in Heiligendamm for unforgettable excursions. We recommend the beautiful Bad Doberan with its impressive Doberan Minster, Nienhagen with the mystical Ghost Forest, or the other seaside resorts Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn.
