beautifully furnished apartment near the beach
We chose this apartment because of its proximity to the beach and its nice decor. The furnishings are bright and friendly, nicely decorated, and very spacious with the balcony and size. However, there were a few details that unfortunately bothered us a bit. On one hand, you have to consider that the building has several apartments (about. 10 parties), and it is located exactly in the middle of two other blocks, so noise is unavoidable, and the apartment is located on the middle floor next to the stairs.
In the living room, we missed having blinds or opaque curtains so that we could sit in the living room in the evening without being seen by the neighboring block. What also startled us a bit was the high price for the provision of towels and bed linen and the final cleaning. One could have expected a bit more cleanliness, as the toilet brush was a disaster and there were several stains from leaked goods in the refrigerator. Unfortunately, we also had problems with the beds. On one hand, they squeaked quite a bit, and one bed was so wobbly that we had to put something under it, but the headboard fell off because the screw was only inserted. Such things should not happen at this rental price. Additionally, since June 2022, a tourist tax has been due. The location to the beach is very good, although we have seen clearly nicer beaches. There are far too many stones on the beach here, making walking barefoot not very pleasant. On the opposite side, there is a bakery and a souvenir shop with a roll offer. The restaurants are somewhat lacking, some are closed, and others have alarmingly high prices. What can be recommended is the dike terrace with various options. Snack stands right in front of the beach - especially the fish stand is highly recommended, as well as the cozy and very friendly Deichhus with Greek food. Otherwise, you are more dependent on bicycles and cars here, and sightseeing options are limited.
