Wonderful accommodation - Vacation with 2 dogs

We were in the wonderful house for 2 weeks with 4 adults and 2 dogs. The communication beforehand and during our stay was super quick and very friendly, and we were also welcomed upon arrival.

The house and the property are very well maintained, we felt very comfortable. We were traveling with two dogs - "dogs are warmly welcomed" - that is exactly what we felt here. The property is completely fenced, and the dogs could move around freely without their owners having to worry.

From the loungers, to the pool in the sun, the terrace by the house, and the grilling area - everything invited relaxation.

The rooms in the house were also furnished with attention to detail - here too, we lacked nothing.

The surroundings invite many different activities. From city trips, beach days, delicious food in many restaurants, boat trips to quad and scooter tours, we were able to fill our two weeks excitingly and relaxing.

The departure and the associated handover also worked super uncomplicated.

We had a wonderful time here and will definitely come back.

A break for the heart and soul

This is not an apartment or a bungalow; this is a beautiful family home for a vacation with a dog. Filled with impressions, we don't know where to start... whether from the warm welcome of the lovely lively hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Bernik, or from the fascination with their lovingly arranged paradise garden, where as many as 140 larger and smaller palm trees rise. For lovers of true relaxation, we warmly recommend this accommodation where they will feel as if they have their own house by the sea. Hygiene, maintenance, comfort, bedding, towels, kitchen equipment, grill, garden loungers, conditions for the dog, air conditioning (which, among other things, we didn't use at all since the temperature in the house is a few degrees lower than outside due to the surrounding garden greenery) and above all the feeling of privacy, thanks to the high natural fence and the owners who seem to be absent but are present... All praise! We would gladly vacation again in this Little Paradise, both because of all the amenities this accommodation offers and because of the very kind and helpful hosts with whom you feel "at home." Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Mrs. and Mr. Bernik.

This was a true oasis of peace for our family vacation!

The house is simply beautiful, each room is decorated with such attention to detail that you feel like you are in a luxury hotel, but with the warmth and comfort of home. The peaceful surroundings allow for complete relaxation, yet you are close enough to all the attractions to explore the area. The terrace and garden were perfect for family gatherings, and the pool was ideal for the kids, and everyone enjoyed it. We recommend it to anyone who wants to escape everyday life and enjoy beautiful accommodation, in peace and nature.

Those who rent a vacation home or apartment usually jump into the sea or relax on the nearest beach. It's true: a beach vacation in Porec with a fantastic apartment or luxurious villa is always popular. However, there are also some very interesting sights to see. The most popular is undoubtedly the Euphrasius Basilica, which has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997. The basilica is one of the most valuable cultural monuments in Croatia. Between the 3rd and 6th centuries, four church buildings were built in Porec. The Euphrasius Basilica is one of them and is still preserved today. Concerts and other cultural events take place here as well. Until the 18th century, most of the old town was surrounded by fortress walls. These are still partially well preserved and can be visited. There are also three towers from the 15th century, the remains of which are popular attractions. During the summer months, visitors can climb the round tower to the roof terrace and enjoy a magnificent view. Or stroll along Decumanus (the main street), which begins at the main square in the center. Here, besides numerous shops, you'll find attractions like the "Pentagonal Tower," the "Gothic House," the "Romanesque House," the "House of Two Saints," the "Zuccato Palace," or Marafor (the Roman Forum). Another popular excursion destination is the famous Baredine Cave, located just 14 kilometers from Porec. The cave consists of five halls and is a fascinating stalactite cave. The beauty of Baredine Cave is well-known and worth seeing.

Enjoy the city's flair and let yourself be enchanted by its history and living tradition. Or visit picturesque Rovinj, located between Porec and Pula. Many people consider it one of the most beautiful places in all of Croatia. Immerse yourself in the romantic old town with its narrow streets, experience the vibrant waterfront promenade, or relax on the soothing beaches and coves along the Riviera of Rovinj. In the Gespanschaft, there is a rich and interesting culinary offer for all tastes. Specialties include Pršut, Risotto, or Maneštra. Dishes are often prepared with olive oil, a mix of herbs (bay leaves, garlic, parsley) and homemade wine. Small sardines marinated in a sauce of onions and wine are a favorite among locals in Porec. Of course, the proximity to the sea plays a special role. Sea bass, seabass, sole or gilthead bream are considered specialties. However, fish dishes are often more expensive than meat dishes. If you want a snack in between, you can also use one of the snack bars near the beach. Here you can get burek (dough pockets filled with meat, herbs, and sheep's cheese). Istria is also a typical wine country. Try, for example, the red and white Malvazija. The most famous wine of the Kvarner Bay is the Zlatna žlahtina. For your vacation, we can recommend the restaurant Sv. Nikola, located right on the promenade. The restaurant Arlen has been voted the best restaurant in Porec several times. There are plenty of opportunities to get to know Porec in Istria while on vacation with an apartment in Spadici on the west coast on the Adriatic Sea or a vacation house, both from a culinary perspective.

What is a must-see in Poreč?

Always celebrating

The Gothic Franciscan Church, built in the 12th century, served as the Parliament of Istria until the end of the last century. Today, you can visit the imposing building with its Baroque frescoes and interesting art exhibitions in the museum. There are also various folk festivals celebrated in Porec. April 30th (Porec City Day) is even a holiday, with cultural and sporting events on the program. On the last Sunday in July, the traditional folk festival Mandalenjina takes place. Rokova (August 16th) is a religious festival celebrated in honor of St. Rok/San Rocco (St. Roch), the protector of the village Nova Vas. On November 21st, locals celebrate Mavrova, a historical religious celebration in honor of the city’s patron saint. Various events take place on the Square of Freedom on this day.
