We had an unforgettable stay at Casa Mussio! The house is beautiful, lovingly furnished, and with great care taken for everything. It offers complete comfort – from furniture to all the utensils needed for a relaxed, cozy stay.

The rooms are very spacious and thoughtfully laid out, so that everyone quickly finds their favorite area and can express themselves freely. We were particularly impressed by the outdoor area: the large, inviting terrace, the well-maintained garden, and the lush plants create a true Italian flair in the Valle Cannobina – simply heart-melting.

The combination of loving furnishings, spacious rooms, and the dreamlike location makes Casa Mussio a perfect retreat. We felt completely comfortable and can only highly recommend the house – we will definitely come back!

Beautiful vacation

Very beautiful, well-equipped, and clean holiday apartment with a stunning view of the lake. Mr. Speltoni is a friendly landlord who welcomed us with a great fruit basket, sweet treats, and a bottle of Prosecco. He also provided us with many tips for nice excursions. However, to explore the many beautiful sights around the lake, you need a car. Ranco itself is a very quiet place with not much to see. A small promenade with a boat dock and a nice bar invites you to linger.
We spent a very nice vacation at the Beautiful View.

Time out with a dreamy view and plenty of sun

We had a wonderfully relaxing vacation at Casa Devina. The house is very lovingly furnished, modern, clean, and well-equipped – you feel at home right away. Nothing is missing, even a sparkling water maker and a coffee machine are there. The beds are excellent, and the view from the bedroom and balcony of the lake is simply dreamy. The steps to the house were not a problem for us, but we find it worth mentioning, especially for older people or families with small children. Unloading was also very relaxed for us in winter – in summer it could be a bit livelier with more traffic, but the view absolutely compensates for it. Due to the great central location, the nearby road is audible, but the magnificent lake view more than makes up for it.

The covered wellness area with sauna was a real highlight. Cannero is a beautiful, charming place and easily accessible on foot – a car is hardly needed here.

In advance, the landlords provided helpful tips, and the communication was very straightforward and friendly.

Overall, a thoroughly successful stay with great amenities, stunning views, and plenty of relaxation. We will definitely be very happy to return! ?

The wine landscapes of Langhe-Roero and Monferrato are also listed as World Heritage sites. An absolute MUST-DO is a trip to Turin. It is a masterpiece of Baroque city planners and offers an incredible wealth of outstanding cultural treasures such as the Palazzo Reale and 12 other buildings of the Savoy ruling house. Worthwhile museums, 18 km of arcades, and the Roman Porta Palatina are added on top. You should visit at least one of the magnificent buildings of the Savoy outside the capital. Perhaps the Castello di Rivoli, a "Museo d’Arte Contemporeana" (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Rivoli. Where can I eat out in Piedmont?

Your destination, Piedmont, is one of the most diverse culinary regions in Italy, if not Europe. In general, Piedmontese cuisine is more substantial than in the rest of Italy. Pasta is used less, but when it is, it is made with egg. Rice from Lomellina, Vercellese, and Novarese is often used in risotto dishes with red wine and mushrooms. A specialty is the "Agnolotti," ravioli filled with beef, sausage, cabbage, and/or truffles. Olive oil is also often mixed with butter here, which is a better aroma and flavor carrier. The truffle dishes and Barolo wines are famous and can sometimes cost a small fortune. Veal from the Piedmontese cattle - served with tuna sauce or anchovies and Turin's "Bagnet Ross" - and seasonal game dishes of the highest quality are the trump cards of the main courses. Piedmontese people place great emphasis on quality, natural cultivation methods, and traditional regional ingredients. No wonder Piedmont is the birthplace of the famous "Slow Food" movement (with the snail as its emblem). Traditional dishes can also be meatless, such as the "Bagna Càuda" – a kind of fondue with raw vegetables and anchovies. A famous Piedmontese dish is "Marengo Chicken," which is prepared in numerous variations with mushrooms, tomatoes, truffles, eggs, crayfish, and much more. The "Tapulon," a dish made from chopped donkey meat in red wine, is also classic. The "Finanziera" is a special (delicious) dish for the brave, as the stew consists of cockscombs and various offal. You will find an enormous selection of appetizers, cheese (Castelmagno, Bra, Gorgonzola), and sausage or salami varieties (Mortadella, Salame di Cuneo, Doja). To accompany this, you can drink one of the world-famous wines or make a pilgrimage to the Barolo, Barbaresco, and Nebbiolo winemakers. For dessert, you can try the famous nougat cream, for example. Taste the delicacies of the region and enjoy a delicious Asti while looking out over the hills.
