The ALPE CAVALLACCIO is a paradise for nature lovers and families who want to experience a very special kind of holiday.

The holiday home is stylish and very comfortable.
There is a large barbecue place available.
The house is built according to sustainable ecological measures.
Electricity is extracted using solar energy.
A current generator is additionally available and guarantees a continuous power supply.

The stone house consists of a large kitchen with dining table and open living room leading directly to the covered terrace.

The two bedrooms are spacious and comfortable
Both bedrooms have a direct exit to the property, the double has a large + comfortable double bed and in the children's room is a bunk bed + extra bed available.

A romantic small river leads past the house!

Enjoy from the terrace the panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding nature, while their children play safely on the fenced large area with large lawn and tree house.

additional information:

We would like to point out that the Steinhaus is located in an isolated area in the forest and is best reached with a suitable vehicle.
The access road leads from the village of Levo, or from the main road in Levo, about 1.5 km over an unpaved natural road through the forest.
An SUV/off-road vehicle or a car with higher ground clearance is best suited for this.
If you do not have such a vehicle, the landlord can provide you with a suitable vehicle for a small additional fee if needed. This can be decided on site.

The house has an independent water supply. Due to the natural and independent supply, the water pressure is lower than with a connection to the public water network. This may be particularly noticeable when several water points are used at the same time.

Water problem

We had rented the alpine hut for two weeks and unfortunately had to leave after one week because we hardly had water for showering and washing hair. At this price of 1600 euros per week, we would have expected this. We encountered a lack of understanding from the rental and the host, which disappointed us greatly; we left 1600 euros behind and left the alpine hut after one week. The host also did not come by anymore. A shame for the place.

A beautiful place to find peace!

The alpine hut is located in the middle of the forest with a very beautiful view of the lake. The pleasant temperatures compared to the heat at the lake were a relief in the evenings! The exchange with the owner Andrea as well as the contact person Yvonne was open and very friendly. We can highly recommend the alpine hut and will surely find our way there again.

Wonderful vacation in a place blessed by God!!!

This house and the accompanying property is a dream! Here you can let your soul dangle and relax excellently. Above all, our dog loved this place.

The furnishings were functional and everything was in good condition.

The only small negative point is the rather adventurous approach over "hill and stone," but it's worth it!!!

Beautiful summer holiday

We had a very nice holiday on Lake Maggiore
The holiday home was super. Cleanliness was top, the view was beautiful and the property was very large.
Our children had a lot of fun! Our dog really enjoyed running around on the large property.

The hosts were excellent
Questions were answered quickly and the contact was just super friendly.

Forest Oasis

We love the waldoase and will come back next year. The dog has a great run because everything is fenced, the baby had plenty of grass to pluck (there is always a shady spot) and our daughter was very happy with swinging, sanding and playing in the water. The contact for any questions or concerns was perfect. The views and tranquility are priceless, thank you for a lovely week, next time we will stay longer.

Relaxation with our dogs

Dreamlike beautiful domicile. We could enjoy the days and our dogs felt very comfortable too. The property offers plenty of space to run around and the opportunity to take a short walk to the waterfall with the dogs off-leash. Hiking trail directly on the property with many opportunities to explore the surroundings. The terrace is the "balcony above Lake Maggiore" (just sit and enjoy).

Traumurlaub

We, with our dog, spent two wonderful weeks at the end of July/ beginning of August in the Casetta del Rio. Situated at an altitude of about 750 meters above sea level, approximately 500 meters above Lake Maggiore, the location is simply ideal. From the northern terrace, you have a magnificent view of the bay between Verbania, Feriolo, and Baveno with the Tosa Toce river flowing into the lake, as well as the mountain ranges rising on the northern horizon. The terraces offer pleasant shade almost all day, the large garden with the huge bathing pond, which also contains fish and whose inflow must be crossed when entering, is very well maintained. The equipment of the Casetta del Rio is good, larger electrical appliances have been omitted, which is probably due to the power supply via solar energy. TV, fridge-freezer combo with a very nice large freezer compartment, and gas stove are available. You have to do without a dishwasher, microwave, or coffee maker, understandably. Instead, you won't find better coffee anywhere else than the one brewed on the gas stove in the traditional Italian espresso maker! Directly from the property, a path leads approximately 600 m to a waterfall with a small lake. Here, too, you can cool off on hot days in a romantic setting. The surroundings also invite you to go hiking. The contact with our hosts was excellent and uncomplicated. When we had questions, there was immediate feedback. We can only recommend Casetta del Rio.
