Dream holiday on Lake Maggiore

We had an unforgettably beautiful girls' holiday at Cascina Borchina with Bettina and Andrea. It was our very first time on Lake Maggiore, but certainly not our last. The view of the lake from our accommodation left us speechless on arrival. Simply paradisiacal! The Sole flat we booked leaves nothing to be desired. You immediately notice that everything has been furnished with love and passion and that a lot of importance is attached to cleanliness. We really enjoyed Anna's bread service. The hosts Bettina and Andrea are very warm and friendly and the well-being of their guests always comes first. We will definitely come again. Thank you Bettina and Andrea!

Dreamy lake view.

The accommodation is beautifully situated and offers a fantastic view over the entire lake. From morning until sunset, you can enjoy the peace and watch the course of the sun. Reading, lounging, sleeping, and hiking in the mountains from there are all possible. Bettina and Andrea are very warm, lovable hosts and have created a beautiful property with great taste. I have been there three times already and will come back.

Breathtaking view

Hospitality is very important to us. Bettina, as a host, is very careful and her open and uncomplicated nature made us feel good. For example: On the day of departure, it was raining heavily. The streets were partly flooded. Bettina only allowed us to leave after personally driving the route to Maccagno in her car. We like to travel to beautiful places. We particularly prefer breathtaking landscapes. The Cascina Borchina is now definitely part of it. By the way, we think the price-performance ratio is good.

An unforgettable week!

The accommodation corresponds 100% to the photos from the internet. We were accommodated in the SOLE apartment, which is very pretty and tastefully furnished. Bettina and Andrea are very hospitable and provide tips and suggestions for exploring the area. The best thing, in addition to the cleanliness of the apartment and the location of the property, is the unforgettable view of Lake Maggiore! A fantastic view that is second to none. The terrace is bathed in sun from morning until evening.
The approach to the property is a bit steep but manageable for everyone.

Conclusion: Cascina Borchina is definitely a gem for a great stay in every way!

Peace, relaxation, and a breathtaking view!

We spent two very relaxing weeks in the Sole holiday apartment in Cassina Borchina. After a somewhat adventurous drive (you get used to it ;-)), you are greeted by an incredibly beautiful view of Lake Maggiore. The whole property shows that Bettina and Andrea have realized a lifelong dream here - everything is furnished and designed with lots of love for detail - beautiful. For nature lovers and those seeking tranquility, it is the ideal place to relax.

It was simply wonderful

After a somewhat adventurous drive through the forest, we were simply speechless at the end of the road, amazed by the wonderful view of Lake Maggiore and Bettina and Andrea's beautiful estate. From the moment we were greeted, we immediately felt comfortable and well taken care of. The apartment is very stylish and equipped with all comforts; if anything were missing, Bettina and Andrea would do everything to make it perfect. And not to forget the torchlight evening with the fantastic view. For all nature lovers and those seeking peace, the perfect oasis! Located in a small village in the heart of the Black Forest, this cozy cabin offers a unique blend of tranquility and natural beauty.

Arrive, marvel, feel good, never want to leave.

This is how we can sum up the wonderful vacation days with Bettina and Andrea. Arriving is not ordinary in any way – it becomes clear after the first meters driven on the driveway. Something very special awaits us here. We can't stop being amazed when we arrive downstairs and Bettina and Andrea show us the apartment and the grounds. The apartment is very tastefully, high quality, and richly furnished. We truly lacked nothing. The direct view of Lake Maggiore from the entire apartment is fantastic. We were quite amazed when we heard that Andrea and Bettina planned and built the entire property themselves, with countless natural stone walls, idyllic corners, and many eye-catching details. The two of them have created a very special place where we felt comfortable from the first minute to the last. A place for peace and relaxation, to become aware of the special nature of vacation days, and at the same time, the place was an ideal starting point for our activities around Lake Maggiore. All this and the warmth of Bettina and Andrea made saying goodbye not easy.

A week in paradise

We (a couple from Bremen, aged 50 and 57) had an unforgettable week in this wonderful flat. The great journey alone is indescribable. The location is so fantastic, words can hardly describe it. We couldn't find the road and had to ask the landlords for help. We were picked up at the road and received a friendly welcome right away. We then drove behind in the car and were more than rewarded. What a great way to get there and then the breathtaking view!!! The property, the house, the flat - everything beautiful. Very well maintained and clean. We felt so comfortable (we would have preferred never to leave this place again). The flat is very lovingly furnished, the kitchen invites you to cook, everything is there, even the knives are excellent. A big thank you to the owners (Bettina and Andrea) who always have an open ear for their guests' concerns. Thank you also for the beautiful last evening with you on the terrace with wine and grappa and nice conversations. We are already looking forward to seeing you again. Riccarda and Wolfgang

An oasis of relaxation

You don't really know where to start. We spent our holiday from 9.09 to 22.09.2018 in the holiday flat Sole. The flat is very tastefully and elegantly furnished, nothing was missing. The photos on the websites are already impressive, but when you are on site, it is just incredible. Usually it is the other way round that the photos are deceptive. The view, the peace and quiet are fantastic. Bettina and Andrea are such warm hosts who are always there to help and advise, be it with tips for restaurants, hikes, excursions, etc.. They are always present, but still discreet. Due to the small number of holiday guests, everyone is on their own, but you are still a community. That is also the concept of Bettina and Andrea and that is exactly right. Keep up the good work. We could write a lot more, but you have to experience the impressions and the hosts in person.
It's a pity that there are no 10 stars!
We have booked again for next year directly on site. There is still so much to discover.

"Life-saving" - breakdown assistance - Pure relaxation

As a couple in our late 50s, this is the 1st time we are guests at Bettina and Andrea's. Welcome: Wasp sting in the throat, Andrea called / Bettina raised an "alarm" at Luino hospital - all good. Flat tire on the motorcycle: Andrea's friend offered help when called, Andrea went to get the tire - 1 hour later - all good... and yet... Pure relaxation - region, climate - top! Views, location, facilities, friendliness, etc. - the bar is set pretty high here. We were particularly impressed by the things where one should take a closer look; thousands of ideas that were perfectly implemented, with so much attention to detail, passion, perseverance; the harmony of the materials used in the entire building structure and of course... Bettina and Andrea, THANK YOU for the time with you - 2019 is coming soon :-)

We can wholeheartedly recommend this accommodation - it is incredible what Tina and Andrea (hosts) have created in the mountains with a gigantic view of Lake Maggiore. The house, the amenities, the lake view - simply amazing. The hosts are very friendly, accommodating, and warm, so we felt very comfortable right away and will definitely come back. There are a total of 4 rental apartments and it has been a nice community with everyone. Everyone was on their own, yet it felt like a great community, thanks in no small part to Tina's open and warm-hearted nature. It truly is a beautiful spot on this earth, and you can feel the love in every detail! Thank you for the wonderful time with you - we were able to relax and unwind very well. Maccagnio is a good starting point for various tours around the lake - it is very peaceful in this place and overall on the east coast, which we liked very much. With many great experiences and moments of happiness in our luggage, we are now back in Germany and fondly remember the time! ! !

Fantastic finca

The pictures on the internet do not promise too much, but in reality they surpass the presentation. We spent two weeks in July in the Sole flat in this wonderful finca. The finca is a dream
Everywhere you look you can see that the owners have put a lot of heart and soul into the construction of this complex, which was built almost exclusively from natural materials. Even the reception and the briefing, as well as the local support by Bettina was simply nice and very warm.
The flat lacks nothing, and the bathroom with its large marble shower deserves special mention. The finca is located in the mountains of Maccagno, certainly with one of the best lake views ever. There is plenty of sun all year round, all day long. Not to be left unmentioned is the heavenly silence, from morning to evening. Peace and privacy are guaranteed.
The way to Maccagno on foot is sweaty, we found it a bit difficult on the first day, after that it was just a bit more sport.
Fortunately, we also had fantastic weather, so we were able to enjoy the dream lake view while having breakfast in the morning, which alone ensures relaxation.
The terrace invites you to sit with candlelight and a good glass of wine (organic wine from Andrea) and limocello until late at night.
The contact with the landlords is extremely friendly, everything fits here.
We are very happy to have met Bettina and Andrea, we would have preferred not to leave at all, but have already booked again for 2018.
Five stars are more than justified here, and we'll give it an extra one. We can unreservedly recommend the Finca Cascina Borchina Sole country estate.

Einzigartig

The Cascina Borchina is located off the main road at the end of a drivable forest path, in complete seclusion about 200 meters above the lake with a breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore. The small estate consists, in addition to the main house of the owners, of a holiday home and apartments in the form of two adjacent natural stone houses. We spent five days in the "Sole" apartment at this amazing place with a dreamy lake view. Even from the bed, we were able to enjoy this view. The finca is extremely lovingly furnished. Here, heart and soul are put into every single stone and every small detail. In the wonderfully prepared stone houses, predominantly natural materials are used, the furnishings modern in combination with individual old objects. The equipment is complete. Nothing is missing here. The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances. Cutlery, pots, and dishes are all available. In the beautiful bathroom with marble tiles and natural stone sink, a hairdryer was provided. Terrace furniture for cozy outdoor seating, including private sun loungers. Additionally, there is a beautifully landscaped garden with a viewing platform in front of the houses, a barbecue area, dry stone terraces with various Mediterranean herbs for fresh use. We added towels and Wi-Fi (for a fee). The finca is also an ideal starting point for hikes and bike tours into the surrounding mountainous terrain. Great for active holidaymakers.

The hosts Bettina and her husband Andrea have built all of this by hand and with great taste. Not everything is completely finished yet, so it will be exciting to see how everything will be further enhanced in the coming years. Both are incredibly warm and attentive. They provide tips for excursions and the culinary treasures of the region. All with freedom and privacy on the property. We immediately felt welcome and at home. Thank you for the great stay! We will definitely come back!

Traumhafter Urlaub

We spent wonderful 10 days here, which unfortunately passed much too quickly. The location and this breathtaking view of Lake Maggiore are incomparable. The finca is decorated very tastefully and lovingly. Nothing is missing here. Even from the bed, you have a beautiful view of the lake. The owners Andrea and Bettina are super nice and hospitable. We felt very comfortable here immediately. One can feel the passion with which the two of them created this wonderful home. We will definitely come back soon.

A farmhouse absolutely recommendable

An absolutely recommendable finca in the midst of untouched nature. We spent a wonderful holiday in this beautiful apartment "Sole" with a fantastic view of Lake Maggiore and the towns. Cascina Borchina is located at the end of a drivable road, secluded and below the "main road," in a secluded location with a dream view of Lake Maggiore. The lovingly renovated stone houses are extremely tastefully and thoughtfully decorated with natural materials. The equipment is more than top-notch, and everything is clean. Here really nothing is missing - from exclusive tableware, cutlery, pots, and other kitchen utensils to hairdryer and towels (for a fee) to sun loungers with thick cushions, terrace furniture, clothesline, etc. The marble shower with stone floor… The madness :-)

The place is a great starting point for hikes and for cyclists.

Bettina is a very good host who respected our privacy and had great tips for excursions when needed. It is evident that the owners do their "work" with passion, and we hope that all tenants appreciate this.
Bettina and her husband Andrea have made the holiday region, which was new to us, an experience with many beautiful impressions. Thanks to their recommendations, we have gotten to know the land, people, excursion destinations, and culinary delights optimally. We will definitely come back!
