What does a hunter or other nature lover want more...

I was with my wife, two hunting friends, and two dogs from 12. 09. - 19. 09. 26 for the third time in this holiday apartment. The beautiful furnishings, the great location, and the super nice contact with the hosts will also be the reason that we will book this accommodation again in the future. The view from the balcony offers no other holiday apartment in Prerow. Equipped with thermal imaging devices, we had every evening from about 21:30 View of red, black, and game animals at a distance of 34 - 80m in the meadow next to the Old Forest House. The balcony, but also the living room windows, are very suitable for observing wildlife. It was interesting for us that especially the usually shy red deer were not disturbed by our conversations on the balcony. Walking the dogs was also very convenient due to the forest location. All hiking trails are directly accessible. The apartment is excellent for two couples, as there are two bedrooms. The small kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a vacation. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower. Those who like can be in the town center of Prerow among the tourists in a short time on foot or by vehicle. Parking is available in the yard. The dominant stag regularly announced itself with its strong voice and offered a beautiful autumn concert.

Time out in autumn

We were in the holiday apartment in mid/late September and felt completely comfortable.
The apartment/stable room is very clean and really lacks nothing. The kitchen is well equipped and the rest of the furnishings leave nothing to be desired. The location is perfect, everything is quickly reachable on foot or by bike, and the beach is very close by.
The couple Heidrowski is very warm and friendly. We were especially pleased with the freshly squeezed apple juice and the delicious homemade apple pie – a wonderful gesture!
We really enjoyed our stay. Absolute recommendation!

Which sights are there in Fischland-Darß-Zingst?

Attractions around the Bodden

Whether you're staying in a holiday home or an apartment in Wieck, Darß, Zingst, Ahrenshoop, Prerow, Born, Barth, or Graal-Müritz - Fischland-Darß-Zingst and its surroundings are rich in noteworthy churches. You will find a church in even the smallest of towns. Among them, for example, is the Peter-Pauls Church in Zingst, built around 1860 and considered the most important monument in the community. But don't worry, there's more than just churches! A trip to the Darßer Ort lighthouse is worthwhile. It stands 35 meters tall and is one of the oldest lighthouses on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula. And while you're here, you should also take a walk through the beautiful Darßer primeval forest, which is aptly named. Nature lovers are well catered for on Fischland-Darß-Zingst, as the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park covers a large part of the peninsula and invites you to extensive hikes. A stroll through the natural Sundische Wiesen on Zingst and a boat trip on the Saaler Bodden complete the unique nature experience.

What do you need to experience in Fischland-Darß-Zingst?

Perfect vacation on the Baltic Sea at Fischland-Darß-Zingst

Whether you choose a cozy apartment or a holiday home on Fischland, Darß, or Zingst, it doesn't really matter: The most beautiful beaches, such as those at the Baltic resort of Prerow, are never far away. But beyond the beach and sea begin the real highlights of Fischland-Darß-Zingst. And we're not talking about large attractions or internationally known museums, but about nature! You definitely shouldn't miss the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area. In the information facilities of the national park in Wieck, Zingst, and Darßer Ort, you can learn all about the unique natural landscape and book guided tours. During your vacation in one of the affordable private vacation rentals, a detour to the mainland should not be missed. The amber city of Ribnitz-Damgarten and the charming small town of Barth are popular excursion destinations on the Baltic Sea with numerous attractions.

What can you experience in Fischland-Darß-Zingst with children?

Full program for children

Located away from road noise and big city hustle, the Baltic coast is the ideal address for a relaxed family vacation on Fischland-Darß-Zingst. The privately-owned holiday homes and apartments are affordable and offer everything you need when children or even pets are along. Fischland-Darß-Zingst has many beautiful beaches - some natural, some gently sloping, some fine sandy. A day at the sea is not just one of the most beautiful things in life for the little ones. The Baltic resort of Dierhagen is the best spot on Fischland for water enthusiasts, as Dierhagen Beach is fine and seven kilometers long. The most popular bathing spot on the Darß is the Baltic resort of Prerow. The wide beach is considered one of the most beautiful on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast. On the peninsula of Zingst, the Baltic resort of Zingst is clearly the top choice. The Baltic resort of Ahrenshoop is located right on the border between Fischland and Darß. Here, the coast is rather steep and reaches up to 16 meters in height. It is also known as the High Shore. Besides play, sports, and fun at the beach, many more offers await families: the Experimentarium in Zingst, the Bird Park Marlow, the Aquadrom with its seawater swimming pool in Graal-Müritz, the Darß Climbing Forest, the Natureum at Darßer Ort, or the experience rooms in the National Park Center "Darßer Arche" in the village of Wieck.

Where can I eat out in Fischland-Darß-Zingst?

Culinary delights on Fischland-Darß-Zingst

Whether peninsula or island - both are by the sea! You can be absolutely sure that only freshly caught fish lands on the plates in Fischland-Darss-Zingst. Enjoy the various ways in which eel, pike-perch, and others are offered in the numerous restaurants: fried, baked, grilled, deep-fried, or smoked are just a few of the many options. While you can get a fish sandwich on the go in any harbor, the best dining options are found in Zingst, Wieck, Ahrenshoop, Dierhagen, and Prerow. Of course, the menus also feature dishes beyond traditional fish cuisine. If you prefer to cater for yourself in your apartment or holiday home, you can shop at one of the regional fresh and experience markets. They take place alternately in Zingst, Wieck, Prerow, Ahrenshoop, and Dierhagen from May to October. The best meat and sausage products are available at Gut Darß - an organic farm with organic cattle breeding. Sweet tooths will love the jam from the Darßer Manufructur. In Barth and Marlow, there are also two breweries known for their delicious beers.

What is a must-see in Fischland-Darß-Zingst?

Fischland-Darß-Zingst for art and culture enthusiasts

Do you love music? Are you interested in art? Would you like to learn more about the history of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula? In a small area, you'll find everything your heart desires. Whether it's the Art Museum Ahrenshoop, the folk and natural history Darß Museum in Prerow, or the development of sailing in the Zingst Museum - discover the interesting past of the region between the Bodden and the sea. Located on the mainland and just a stone's throw from your apartment or holiday home on Fischland-Darß-Zingst, the Klockenhagen Open-Air Museum and the German Amber Museum in Ribnitz-Damgarten also await those interested in history and traditions. Of course, you can also buy the popular Baltic jewelry made from the shimmering yellow stone as a souvenir. A trip to Ahrenshoop is also a must for anyone connected with painting. From here to the Baltic resort of Wustrow, one gallery and exhibition follows another. This is no coincidence: as early as the 19th century, many creatives were drawn to Ahrenshoop, where they founded an artists' colony. The Gallery in the Monastery in Ribnitz-Damgarten is another stop for art lovers.
