For a few years now, our family (grandparents, children, and now grandchildren) has been spending Pentecost in Hooksiel and has grown very fond of the house, garden, and surroundings. Everything you need is available in good quality, parking for cars and bikes is immediately available at the house. We feel absolutely comfortable - and not for the last time.

We can recommend this house to anyone who does not yet have a wheelchair or problems with stairs. The location is great. And although so close to the action, it is extremely quiet. The support from Mr. Pilger, the property manager, was as always optimal. We deeply regret that he is retiring. However, we sincerely wish him many more years of health and happiness. We thank him in this way for the good holiday care over the past years. And a heartfelt thank you to the landlord with her exceptions. We, our children, and grandchildren felt very comfortable in her house. Thank you again.

A perfect holiday home

Thank you very much, Hirsch family, for this beautiful holiday home. We felt very comfortable. Everything is available that one needs for a nice holiday home vacation. It is the first holiday home that is so well equipped. The kitchen is small but nice and very well stocked with everything. Pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery are more than enough. The refrigerator also has a good size. The paths to the dike, bakery, and restaurants are only a few minutes' walk away. The bed linen and towels are also of good quality and sufficiently available. Small samples in the bathroom were also considered. And the cleanliness was top-notch. The only small downside is the garden loungers. They should be replaced. But otherwise, there is nothing to complain about, and we will definitely come back. Thank you for everything.

If you don't go on a mudflat hike during your vacation at the North Sea, you're missing one of the country's greatest attractions. The Wadden Sea National Park is divided into the Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Lower Saxony Wadden Sea. All three parts are part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. It's best to book a guided tour, as no one can provide you with more information about the nature reserve than a knowledgeable local staff member. Along the North Sea and on the islands, there are information centers with informative exhibitions that are also very interesting for children. The National Park House Wurster North Sea Coast in Dorum-Neufeld features large aquariums where you can watch some inhabitants of the mudflats live in action. The Multimar Wattforum in the cozy harbor town of Tönning is another information center, the largest in Schleswig-Holstein. Plus, the kids will love stomping in the muddy silt. Make sure they take off their rubber boots before returning to the accommodation after such a hike. Families are especially found on the Eiderstedt Peninsula, on Borkum and Amrum, but also in Friedrichskoog and St. Peter-Ording in Schleswig-Holstein, as well as in Cuxhaven-Döse. Here, there are great beaches and numerous affordable vacation apartments and houses in close proximity to the beach and in quiet locations.
