Attention to detail in a great location

The holiday home of the Andres family is really recommendable! We spent wonderful Pentecost days there together with a few friends. The house is furnished with attention to detail, you immediately feel at home! Fireplace, beach chair, a kitchen with all the bells and whistles, and the location (a short walk through the forest to the beach) round off the whole thing! From now on every year :D

The house is very cozy and comfortable. We liked it immediately. The light furniture creates a cozy atmosphere. The beautiful stove spreads a pleasant and snug warmth and complements the tasteful decoration of the house perfectly. The kitchen is small... but nice. Everything is there! The bedroom is also very pretty and quiet, and the good beds allow for a restful sleep. We already know the house from a summer vacation. Summer or winter... it was nice. Thank you very much!

The Table Gifts of the Baltic Sea

As everywhere along the northern coasts, the region around Ückeritz was shaped by the sparse existence of fishermen and farmers. You can still visit the old salt huts of the fishermen in Koserow. A typical Baltic Sea specialty is fish in all variations, especially plaice, and in spring, herring along with the Usedom Herring Weeks. However, you should spare the plaice a bit, as the stocks are suffering from overfishing. In addition to fresh fish, smoked and salted fish specialties are also available.

Traditional Usedom cuisine includes the "Fischtüften". Here, two former poor people's dishes – potatoes (Tüften) and fish – come together to make a delicious meal! Thanks to the nearby forests, the people of Ückeritz also developed a second specialty: game. From this, local restaurateurs make tasty game dishes in autumn. After a successful meal, stroll along the harbor. The Ückeritz harbor is a comparatively small marina. It is located on the Achterwasser and offers about 50 berths for shallow-draft boats.
