lovingly furnished

We were allowed to spend a week in this warmly furnished holiday apartment. We lacked nothing! Everything was very clean, we had Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, and the bed was super cozy :) We are happy to recommend this holiday apartment. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Menzel :)

Perfectly successful Baltic Sea holiday in Bansin

We have spent many vacations at the Baltic Sea and have accordingly gotten to know several holiday apartments – this one definitely belongs to the best for us.

The apartment is very nicely furnished, extremely clean, and well-equipped. There is really nothing missing, and you can tell that the hosts have thought about what one needs for a relaxing vacation. We also really liked the location in Bansin, which was an ideal starting point for our holiday days on Usedom.

We would particularly like to mention the hosts, the Gürlich family. From the first contact through the booking and arrival to the support during our stay, everything was friendly, reliable, and completely uncomplicated. There was always a very quick response to any questions.

We felt comfortable from the first day and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You really don't need to say more: We have already booked again for next summer. That should be the best recommendation.

Thank you very much to the Gürlich family – we look forward to seeing you again next year!

Dreamily beautiful vacation

A beautiful apartment, a really nice garden that comes with it, and a meadow next door where our children and our dog could romp around. We lacked nothing. It's just a 3-minute walk to the beach.

Which sights are there in Bansin?

Attractions in Bansin

Since 1897, Bansin has been a seaside spa and, along with Ahlbeck and Heringsdorf, is one of the three Imperial Spas on the island of Usedom. The three spas are connected by a beach promenade, along which numerous holiday apartments and houses are located. At the end of Bansin, dense forests begin, offering excellent hiking opportunities. With the Gothensee, Schloonsee, and Schmollensee, as well as the Great and Small Krebssee, pristine water paradises are right on your doorstep. These lakes are part of the "Naturpark Insel Usedom" nature reserve and are home to various bird species. During a walk, you can marvel at the birds' singing. Also worth seeing are the pier in Ahlbeck and in the Baltic Sea resort of Heringsdorf. Here, you can enjoy a lovely stroll and buy beautiful souvenirs from the region. At the Nature Conservation Center in Karlshagen, you can learn interesting and noteworthy facts about the island's nature reserves.

Highlights in Bansin

Founded in 1897 as a seaside resort, Bansin is the youngest of the three Imperial Spas, which are accessible by the Resort Railway. In addition to the breathtaking beaches, you should also visit the Museum Villa Irmgard and the memorial site of the writer Maxim Gorki. The cliffs of Bansin consist of rocky and fine sandy beaches, from which you have a breathtaking view over the Baltic Sea. After stormy weather, larger and smaller stones, shells, and other treasures such as hag stones, amber, and belemnites are washed ashore.

Family Holiday in Bansin

A holiday apartment on the island of Usedom is perfect for a family-friendly vacation with children. A beach holiday is suitable for families with children at any time of the year. The white beach is ideal for sandcastle builders, shell seekers, beach explorers, and sun worshippers. At mini-golf in Pudagla, on a trip to a butterfly farm or an ostrich farm, to Poland and Swinoujscie, or at the bison enclosure, there is guaranteed to be no boredom on your trip. Also, visit Germany's smallest zoo, the Tropical Zoo Bansin. In the climbing forest in Neu-Pudagla, you can climb into the treetops with your little ones. Seasonal opening hours can be found here. Book your tickets online in advance here.

Culinary Delights in the Dream Location

The cuisine of the Baltic Sea in this area is known for being hearty. Traditional home cooking has been a staple here for hundreds of years. Naturally, this includes fish, cabbage, potatoes, and beets. Usedom chefs create delicious delicacies from herring. Many dishes are seasoned or sweetened with raisins and prunes. For example, Soljanka is sweet and sour. This meat soup is made from tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions and is served with a slice of lemon and sour cream. Wild game dishes are also found on many Usedom menus. If you want to cook a delicious regional dish in your holiday accommodation, you should definitely buy fresh fish directly from the cutter.

Art and Culture in Bansin

Every July, the Pier Festival takes place, featuring craft market stalls, a culinary mile with regional ingredients, and live music. From early August to early September, comedies, cabaret, concerts, and readings are held in the Chapeau Rouge Theater Tent along the Heringsdorf promenade. For younger guests, there are child-friendly theater pieces and musical performances to participate in during this period. In Ahlbeck, the Sand Sculpture Festival invites visitors to explore. Around 9,000 cubic meters of sand are piled up, from which replicas of famous buildings and ephemeral statues are created. Since the exhibition is housed in tents, it is also a great experience on colder days. If you are a lover of classical music, renting a holiday apartment from mid-September to mid-October is just right for you. The Usedom Music Festival is annually staffed with the Berlin Philharmonic, international prize winners, and the Lübeck Choir Academy. Venues include concert shells on the promenades and churches.
