The kitchen and living area are indeed small. But the big garden makes (for the kids) much good! Lovely lawn to play and nice to sit on the covered terrace. The bedrooms are normal in size and there is enough room in the whole house for your luggage to mountains. The cottage was very well cleaned by the hostess. We do not see often!

Where can I eat out in Sautens?

Tyrolean cuisine - pure pleasure

Tyrol is known among gourmets worldwide as a real pleasure region. Try the many delicious cheeses, smoked ham, and crispy Kaminwurzen. South Tyrolean bacon is anything but a greasy affair. The fine aromas of this delicacy unfold best at room temperature. Therefore, remove the ham from the refrigerator a few minutes before consuming it. Alpine milk and hay milk are processed in traditional cheese dairies into mountain cheese, sliced cheese, or hard cheese. A long maturation period enhances the hearty flavor. The cheese is not only made from cow's milk. Soft and creamy with a fine spice, the varieties made from sheep's milk or goat's milk are available. Herbs and spices refine the respective types. Salami and Wurzn traditionally consist of pork. Particularly delicious are varieties with portions of game such as deer, elk, or wild boar, or additions such as truffles and nuts. If you want to cook in your holiday accommodation, holiday apartment or house in Sautens, buy fresh regional groceries cheaply in farm shops and at the weekly market.
