We were in the holiday home during the summer vacation. Everything was wonderful. The house very clean and very well equipped. Nothing was missing.
The beach is a few minutes' walk away. Playground, mini-golf, table tennis, boat rental, and bicycle rental directly across from the house. The house has its own pier, which invites fishing. From the private pier, you can also access the many canals where you can go boating, stand-up paddling, etc. The beach and the shallow water are particularly suitable for children and water sports enthusiasts. The surf school and a beach soccer field are also available. A petting zoo is also easily reachable with a short walk. The beach promenade is beautiful and invites you to watch the sunset or enjoy the cozy restaurants and bars. All in all, it was a super nice vacation. Many thanks to the Kunert family.

The fully equipped house leaves nothing to be desired. From the televisions (there's even one in the bedroom, for those who need it) to the fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine (which we had to descale first), everything is there for a satisfying holiday experience. The living comfort is very good, the location as well: 2 minutes on foot to the dike, where you can walk to the center of Lemmer in 25 minutes. Of course, it's faster by car, with parking at the house and in the nearby residential complex. The house is clean and well-maintained, with attention to detail. The service of the landlord is particularly noteworthy: upon our arrival on Saturday evening, the internet did not work due to a faulty cable at the router. After a call to the landlord, the cable was replaced the very next day (Sunday!). Conclusion: This accommodation is absolutely recommended.

Contrary to what the name might suggest, the IJsselmeer is a lake - the largest in the Netherlands. Until 1932, this area was known as the Zuiderzee, a bay of the North Sea. However, the construction of the 29-kilometer-long and 90-meter-wide dike laid the foundation for the IJsselmeer. It separates the freshwater lake from the Wadden Sea. An inner dike, built in 1976 from Enkhuizen to Lelystad, has since divided the lake into the Markermeer in the southwest and the IJsselmeer in the northeast. The Dutch provinces of Flevoland, North Holland, and Friesland border the former Zuiderzee.
