We feel completely comfortable here and notice every day how well thought out this chalet is.
Most importantly, we find that there is a beautiful space here where one can simply feel good. Both the interiors with their perfect, thoughtful furnishings and the outdoor area, which becomes a large living room under the open sky in dry weather, contribute to an exceptionally high quality of life.
You can immediately tell that professionals were at work here. The color concept and the theme of sea & surfing lovingly run through the entire interior and are perfectly coordinated. The small details – for example, the pretty wooden seagulls or the surfboard, which appears in different variations again and again – make the chalet very special. As a family of five, we were initially a bit unsure whether we could really spend our vacation here in a relaxed manner. Our concern quickly proved to be unfounded: The chalet is perfectly tailored to the needs of a family with three children. The children's room offers three sleeping spaces – a loft bed with an additional pull-out drawer – and the generous storage space is fantastic. With the many options for hanging clothes and storing other items in baskets, we manage to keep things much more organized here than at home. The cooking facilities are also excellent. In addition to the gas stove with oven, there is a gas grill available, so you can wonderfully prepare meals outside as well. Our initial concern about having to spend a vacation without a dishwasher was quickly resolved: with the manageable amount of dishes, washing up is done in no time. The kitchen is very lovingly and fully equipped – including children's cutlery and children's dishes. We enjoy the many playgrounds and the animation program.

We arrived in Makkum on Sunday evening after exhausting weeks, and despite the previous stress, the vacation started immediately!
We had detailed travel information with valuable tips, and upon entering the holiday home, we were not disappointed. Everything was as described; we had plenty of space, a spacious bathroom, very cozy beds, enough storage…
After the first already very restful night, we could reward ourselves with a dreamlike view from the terrace. One enjoys a lot of privacy, as reeds grow on the right and left of the dock, and the passing boats are hardly noticed. Furthermore, I must praise the great location of the resort; a short walk took us directly to the expansive beach. There is also plenty of space here; in windy conditions, the water belongs to the surfers, and with a light breeze, the paddlers are out. The water is very shallow, excellent for children, and the beach was always clean. There are enough benches on the promenade, and the beach restaurants are quickly accessible.
I must also mention the holiday home: families with small children have been considered as well: there is a stair guard, a step stool in the bathroom, the terrace is completely fenced, I would have liked to find that when ours were still small.
And regarding dogs: we don't have one and also did not notice that any animal was ever in the house - spotless clean!!! And finally, the greatest praise goes to the landlords themselves; they had everything very well prepared, were always approachable, very nice, friendly, and helpful.

Our house was an absolute stroke of luck. Particularly noteworthy are:

The location: Directly by the water with its own dock – perfect for enjoying the first coffee in the morning with a view of the canals.

Amenities: Nothing was missing. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds comfortable, and everything was spotless upon arrival.

Cozy atmosphere: The open living area with large windows provides great light and pure vacation feeling, even when the weather is typically Dutch.

The entire resort is very well maintained and spacious.

Proximity to the beach: Just a short walk and you are at the wide sandy beach of the IJsselmeer. The shallow water is ideal for children or for wind and kite surfing. Leisure: Whether bike rental, boat hire, or the charming restaurants in the village of Makkum – you have the perfect mix of tranquility and activity options.

Conclusion:
We will definitely come back! It was the perfect break from everyday life. A big thank you to the landlords for this unforgettable stay.
