Oasis of well-being for those seeking peace and quiet

The photos do not lie. The house is lovingly furnished and has a wonderful distant view (you can even see the sea from the roof terrace). Everything is clean and well maintained. The landlady is helpful and cordial, but respects the privacy of the tenants. Nora - her dog - is very friendly and cuddly. The garden has very beautiful plants (among others many citrus trees, whose ripe fruit we were allowed to pick for our own use) and there are always places to sit
The half point deduction for the location results from the absolute necessity of a car. You don't live on the main road, but you have absolute peace and quiet, which is why we would give it the full star rating for our needs.

However, the sea is in view from the roof terrace and can be reached in 5 minutes by car. When I turned off the tarred road onto a paved dirt road, which is easily accessible by car, and there were only green hills around me, a few houses lined the way, and the sat nav told me that I had to drive another 500 m to reach my destination, I knew I had done everything right. I can't report anything new about the flat, everything the previous guests have reported is true. The view from the terrace is fantastic. I was here alone to watch birds and take pictures. After I was allowed to move into the flat early in the morning, I immediately wanted to explore the area on foot. I was "delayed" by 2 hours because I couldn't get away from the terrace. Through the garden flew velvet warblers, blackcaps, redstarts, robins, stonechats, thrushes and of course the blue starlings. On the first walk I flushed out 2 Little Owls and was allowed to photograph them. No further report is needed on the bird diversity of the Ria Formosa. As I would like to address the birdwatchers, I would like to mention that a wryneck also hangs around near the terrace. Unfortunately, I always see it against the light. But I want to come back..., see you soon again Dear Heidi and Jens....

A truly recommendable gem in every respect.
The flat is very well laid out, fully furnished - absolutely nothing is missing - and, above all, spotlessly clean (which is not always a matter of course in Portugal)
Three different terraces - two of them with a fantastic sea view - make it pleasantly difficult to decide where to have breakfast every time.
The hosts are both very nice and happy to help if you need information or have any other questions (" Where can we get a delicious portion of fresh ameijoas tonight?")
All in all: If you don't have a dream holiday here, it's your own fault - it's certainly not the fault of the flat or the landlords!
