Description
The estate, Quinta da Arte, is a country estate on 12 hectares of land with four separate, privately located, individual cottages, each of which is a special feature and located in the middle of a natural, mature park with art objects, surrounded by private gardens.
The property has a swimming pool, an open-air theater with 120 seats, a dance studio, a boules court and walking paths where the curious explorer will encounter sculptures and art objects.
Our artistic, colorful and original vacation home, the PAVILHAO DA ARTE with a separate bedroom with double bed and mosquito net, air conditioning and a large outdoor bed with mosquito net, is best suited for 2-3 adults or for
2 adults with 2 children, it depends on where the guest wants to spend the night. (Please ask me)
A special cottage with a beautiful bathroom, all in blue tones, with a large, beautifully tiled shower-bathtub
Adjacent to the bathroom is the bedroom with air conditioning and a double bed.
The house captivates by the layout and size, by the many color views and choice of materials, as well as the integrated art objects. And it attracts especially with its great, large outdoor bed with mosquito protection, where whole families have spent their summer nights to gaze at the starry night sky.
The large living room has integrated art objects, a sofa with desk and chair, and on request, two more sleeping possibilities under a mosquito net with fans.
The separate and fully equipped kitchen is located in an extra kitchen house in the back of the garden next to the covered dining and barbecue area and an adjacent outdoor shower.
Living in the middle of nature, that's what our guests say about their holidays with us.

HYGIENE in times of COVID 19:
Dear guests, I would like to emphasize that in this particular dangerous situation we will of course use additional disinfectants to those already in use. I have studied the newly enacted local laws in detail and will follow them conscientiously.
A clean house has always been a special concern of ours, which our guests can confirm in their evaluations.
Our houses are far away from each other and so you have distance to the other guests if you want it.
To better times and until then watchful and careful is my motto.
Once arrived, our guests are often amazed by the even larger appearing, or even prettier features of the accommodations than you had already seen on the photos and expected.
The vacation homes are also often booked by several families who live next to each other in the houses.
Separate and yet together.
The people who come to us love the originality of the accommodations and above all the Natuer to experience with and your to live.
They love to be able to rest undisturbed, to get away from their daily routine and to immerse themselves gradually in the Portuguese rhythm of life, of the people, of the sea, of the food and of the life.
The four vacation houses have everything you need for this and each house shows its own special face to the guest.
Children who come to visit us learn to play and discover all our grounds because they can move freely and undisturbed and of course the pool is one of the favorite places for them to spend the whole day, if there were not so many other beautiful things to discover.....

From the ideas of an artist and his creative partner, four individual, artistically designed vacation units were created where each has privacy and its own charisma. The mild climate and the light as an inspiration, the desire to bring people closer to nature and the same was designed buildings made of glass and iron or, for example, shadow roofs made of colored acrylic panels.

Quinta da Arte is located in the Sotavento, the south-east facing Algarve coast, a coastal landscape with miles of sandy beaches and intact bird and fish life. Here, fishing boats cross the waterways of the tamed Atlantic Ocean. The property itself is set in a vast natural landscape nestled among carob-olive-almond and orange tree plantations. Surrounded by a gently rolling mountain fringe, the sea glistens on the horizon some 8 km away in the distance. The pearl of the Algarve, the Roman-Arab Renaissance town of Tavira, located at the mouth of the 'Ria do Gilao' is only 10 km away.

| Utilities: Gas and electricity are included in the price except for the use of air conditioning, which is charged according to use at the end of the stay and costs 3 euros for 8 hours extra. NOTE: If you wish, we can install a WIFI internet router in the house. This costs 15 Euro per week. But many cell phones have automatically a Wifi access. It is best to arrange the check in date with each other before you arrive. We also received guests after midnight. No problem at all. Our property is only 9km away from the most beautiful sights or the clean sea with its wide, great beaches.
The kilometres of sandy beaches in the Eastern Algarve are well worth seeing, protected by the beautiful lagoons and mud flats with various game and water birds, where even flamingos are home to the nature reserve of the "Ria Formosa".
Visit the still existing, small fishing villages and their lively goings-on.
Lagoon landscapes which enchant and which the guest can overcome with small fishing boats, on foot or with cosy ferries to get to the sea. Nice: leisurely walk over nicely laid out paths to the sea.
Discoveries:
There is an old castle and lots of nature to explore in and around Castro Marim or more than 35 churches in the charming and particularly worth seeing 150 year old Renaissance town of Tavira, the pearl of the Algarve.
Faro is also worth seeing, with its old, beautiful city centre, a convent and a bone church of the Franciscans as well as a well-kept shopping street where it is nice to stroll and visit the cafes. The most Arab city by the sea, Olhao has not only its beautiful large market halls with fresh goods, but also old streets and even older small shops.
Cacela Velha, new city, old city and the Ria da Formosa in front of the door and extensive golf courses. St. Lucia, formerly a stronghold of the squid fishing, is now a popular destination to eat a variety of dishes cooked from it or to get to the sea by boat. And there would be Fuzeta: bars, restaurants, fishing boats ...... and much more that I would be happy to tell you about.

Other beautiful travel destinations .....: Spain is very close to us and can be reached very quickly. Across the border river, the Guardiana, a small ferry goes from Vila Real St. Antonio and takes you to Andalusia, where the beautiful world of starters, Spanish tapas, begins. The world of the Spaniards, with its many legends tell of horses and bullfights, the shimmering heat, the fights between the Portuguese and Spaniards long ago and the dawn of modern times has long since found its way into the white villages of the municipality. Visit
El Roccio, a pilgrimage site where there was once a brave churchman who saved many of the area's gypsies from the persecution of the fascists in his church. Visit the adjacent 'Donana' nature reserve, with rare birds and lynx, its large pine forests and continue to Seville, one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. You drive only 1 hour 50 m by car from our Quinta to Seville. Welcome !!

Fuera de lo común
Buscábamos un lugar diferente a las típicas casas que se ofertan para disfrutar no solo de la maravillosa Portugal sino también de nuestra estancia en la casa y el Pabellón de Arte cumplió con creces. Una gran finca con vistas, privacidad en la casa y su entorno, agradable piscina y una anfitriona pendiente de atender y ayudar a sus huéspedes. Muchas gracias por todo. A tener en cuenta que está apartado, por lo que se necesita coche, y la entrada a la finca es tipo pista forestal.

Estás inmerso directamente en la casa y te has sentido muy cómodo y desde aquí indagaste por el entorno.
Cuando nos conocimos te sentiste bien, te sentiste muy a gusto con nosotros y nuestro entorno y sobre todo elogiaste la buena comida.
Nuestro viaje no conduce a través de un bosque, eso sería bueno, sino a través de un camino asfaltado a través de arbustos y arbustos hasta la rodilla.

Inspiring, unique place with great hostess
Quinta da Arte is absolutely fabulous, inspiring and unique. We especially appreciated the generous space, the tranquillity and being surrounded by nature and art. And of course our wonderful host Heide. She is a very caring host and we immediately felt at home. Also thanks to Max - Heidi's dog, who visited us every day, sometimes alone, sometimes with his siblings, on the way to bathe in the pond.
Each accommodation is unique and special - we stayed at Pavilhao da Arte, which was perfect for us (three adults + child). We really enjoyed being outside all day. Even if it was quite hot in between, the many trees provided the necessary shade. And an inviting outdoor shower helped to cool down even more.
One of the highlights of the accommodation for us was the huge outdoor bed - at night you can hear the wind sweeping through the leaves and frogs croaking by the pond.
There is also the communal pool, which we used often, not only for swimming but also for meeting the other guests. We liked the spontaneous encounters, including a shared bottle of wine, with Heide and the other guests.
The place is perfect to come to rest and as a starting point to explore the surroundings, for short as well as longer excursions.
We all felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

Das freut mich wirklich sehr ,das es Euch bei uns so gut gefallen hat und Ihr wirklich aus Eurem normalen Alltag schon nach recht kurzer Zeit entrinnen konntet, so wie Ihr es mir vor Ort erklaert habt.
Das Haus war wohl genau das richtige fuer Euch drei,unkonventionell mit viel Platz und wie Du schreibst dem tollen Aussenbett das der kleine Sohn wohl besonders liebt nicht wahr?.
Erst habt Ihr Euch vor Ort eingelebt und dann, nach und nach die Gegend erkundigt, das Meer die vielen schoenen Inseln und unsere sehenswuerdige Stadt Tavira.
Fuer mich war es ein leichtes freundlich zu Euch zu sein denn auch Ihr seid eine sehr besondere, tolle Familie.

Ruhe und Entspannung in Mitten der Natur
Wir haben schon 4x unseren Urlaub dort verbracht und genießen besonders die Ruhe, die Nähe zur Natur und die Gesellschaft von Heidi und Johannes, die sich großartig um Ihre Gäste kümmern.
Für mich ist es jedes Mal wie „ nach Hause“ kommen.
Es ist ein ganz besonderer Ort den Heidi und Johannes geschaffen haben.

Ein kleines Paradies
Ich habe noch nie zuvor eine Ferienuntrkunft gesehen und bewohnt, die so außergewöhnlich optisch ansprechend und individuell gestaltet ist. Ein Fest für die Sinne! Man sieht in verschiedenen Details die Handschrift des Künstlers. Man kann sehr für sich sein, in den großzügigen Außenbereichen ebenso wie drinnen, hat aber auch die Möglichkeit, am Pool andere Menschen zu teffen. Da insgesamt nur vier alleinstehende Häuser vermietet werden, tritt man sich nicht auf die Füße. Wir sind nun schon zum dritten Mal in der Quinta gewesen, wurden immer sehr herzlich von dem Vermieterpaar empfangen und betreut. Wer gerne Strandurlaub machen will, hat Strände in ca. 15 Autominuten Entfernung, wir haben mehr die Schönheit und Ruhe des Anwesens genutzt, Ausfüge ins Hinterland und zu den Küstenstädten gemacht (z.B. Bootstour in den Lagunen), superfrischen Fisch auf dem Fischmarkt gekauft und gut gekocht bzw. gegrillt.
Die Küchenaustattung ist sehr gut, allerdings klemmt hier und da vielleicht mal eine Tür, Ameisen besuchen die Außenküche usw. Damit konnten wir stets sehr gut leben. Es ist und bleibt für uns ein Sehnsuchtsort, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Wie schoen.
Und das kann ich auch spueren wenn Du uns Mal wieder besuchen kommst immer mit dem festen Ziel Dich bei uns zu entspannen,Dein Buch endlich zu Ende zu lesen die Abende mit Spielen draussen am Tisch zu bestreiten und natuerlich auch um unser so schoenes Umland zu besuchen.Nur zu gerne machst Du Ausfluege z.B. nach Santa Lucia um dort an der Promenade spazieren zu gehen und das ein oder andere Mal dort in einem der tollen Restaurants ein zu kehren.
Oder Ihr nehmt gleich die kleine Faehre, schippert damit ein paar Minuten von der Laguna aus ans Meer um baden zu gehen oder am Strand zu wandern und viel Muscheln mt nach Hause zu bringen.
Nun wir sind ja schon so etwas wie Dein /Euer zweites zu Hause, nicht wahr?
In diesem Sinne freuen wir uns auf ein baldiges Wiedersehen macht es gut!
P.S den kleinen Ameisen erteile ich in jedem Jahr Hausverbot ich weiss auch nicht warum die sich da nicht dran halten.....?Und zum Gift spritzen bin ich dann doch nicht so der Mensch.

Einfach toll!
Wir waren bereits 2009, 2013 und 2017 im Pavilhao da Arte zu Gast und es ist immer wieder Erholung pur. Man ist mitten in der Natur, ganz für sich und kann wunderbar entspannen.
Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr großzügig angelegt mit besonderen künstlerischen Elementen und man fühlt sich rundum wohl. Besonders zu erwähnen ist das Außenbett und die gut ausgestattete Küche in einem separaten Gebäude mit angrenzendem überdachten Grill- und Essbereich.
Von Heidi erhält man wertvolle Tipps zu Ausflügen, Restaurantempfehlungen ect. die den Aufenthalt noch schöner machen. Kulinarisch gibt es in der Umgebung viel zu entdecken und auf den Märkten lässt es sich wunderbar einkaufen und anschließend in Ruhe kochen.
Auch mit kleinen Kindern ist die Ferienwohnung sehr zu empfehlen, es gibt schöne Strände in der Umgebung und auf dem großzügigen Gelände wird es sicherlich nicht langweilig, zumal es auch einen Pool gibt.
Wir hoffen, dass wir bald wieder nach Portugal reisen können und senden viele Grüße dorthin.

Entspannung pur in traumhafter Umgebung
Wir haben als Familie 3 Wochen an diesem bezaubernden Ort verbracht. Das absolute Higlight ist das riesiges Außenbett. Die Anlage ist in einer absolut ruhigen Lage und dennoch mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Einkaufen, Erleben und kurzen Fahrwegen zum Meer. Am Pool der kleinen Anlage ist man häufig allein und kann sich wunderbar entspannen. Auch die Kinder sind voll auf ihre Kosten gekommen, da diese den Pool oft allein in Beschlag nehmen konnten. Die Inhaber kümmern sich hervorragend und herzlich, geben super Geheimtips für die Gegend weiter.
Für Naturliebhaber und Urlauber, die das Besondere suchen unbedingt zu empfehlen.

For 25 years now I have been living with my husband in this beautiful spot of the Eastern Algarve and I am very happy about the warm light that greets me every day, about the friendly people who have welcomed us here and about the many beautiful natural phenomena such as the sea with its wide beaches and the beautiful lagoon landscape of the Ria da Formosa with its rich wildlife. For a few years now we have been renting out our four private houses in our little paradise Quinta da Arte and we are very happy about our great, curious guests who feel inspired by the way we have designed our houses. My husband, an artist and at the same time the architect of everything, has realized himself here and has created a unique piece...this is what our guests say who often don't want to leave or come back to move into one of the other houses. And it is nice to be able to share this with our guests. It is a pleasure for me to tell people about our environment with its many possibilities and to immerse them in a foreign culture I tell them about the many sights and good restaurants and cafes, the little local secrets and discreetly feel what our guests want for their stay with us.
