The holiday house is on a large property with a forest. The holiday house has two rooms on a surface of approx. 40 m² and can accommodate 2 - 3 persons. Complicated access
We were very well received. The interior is a bit old-fashioned but everything is there. However, we noticed that there was no box spring under the mattress of the bed but a wooden board, so it was a bit hard. The biggest problem lies in the access to the house; over 400m there is a not very wide path surrounded by stone walls, making it impossible to pass another car. No TV. But to recommend.

Almost like home
A little off the beaten path but still central to the tourist hustle and bustle that has now also arrived in the Azores, an accommodation almost like family. Kiki and Jürgen are always there for you, give good tips, and help with everything. A small, fine, simple accommodation with everything you need, very clean, free Wi-Fi, and THANK GOD NO TV. Grill place available, we only grilled fresh fish together with KIKI and Jürgen, mostly we went out to eat (looking for local places) at pleasant prices. Renting a car is a prerequisite to explore the island. We have been to the Azores a dozen times, this accommodation is among our favorites due to the whole environment and the landlords. Dream holiday with Kiki.
Dear Kiki,
after we missed giving a review after our first visit last year, we would like to do so now. The 13 days last year were already great, but the almost three weeks this year were indescribable...
To answer the questions provided by the vacation house rental ;-) : your location is great, looking out of the window in the morning and deciding which direction to go based on the weather... we believe it can't get any better and more central. Super nice and clean accommodation, everything you need is there. We immediately felt like "family members". We will definitely spread the word and when we tackle the next island next year, there will definitely be enough time to visit you...
Overall: satisfied in all aspects: peace, well-maintained, loving accommodation, central, shopping 10 minutes by car, everything you could wish for.
Give the furry ones, Samba, Milli, Pia, Cha, and your rooster, a hug from us...
We threaten to come back!!!!

Wonderful week with Kiki.
We stayed for a week in this beautiful and well-kept vacation home. The rooms are lovingly and yet practically furnished, very clean and we didn't miss anything. With a rental car, destinations like Sete Cidades or Lagoa do Fogo are quickly accessible from here. Brigitte and Jürgen are very nice hosts who are happy to help with any questions or provide tips. The communication in advance - we had a delayed flight with an arrival shortly before midnight - was easy and fast.
We liked the hiking route PRC29 "Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande - Salto do Cabrito" the best, and the trip to the old town of Ponta Delgada was also very nice (parking is best in the underground garage directly at the harbor). The fish and seafood tasted good everywhere, although the Lapas and the Polvo Assado at "Gazcidla" in Mosteiros had a slight edge.
We would definitely recommend Casa Azul and book it again.

Rarely lived in so beautifully
We can unreservedly recommend Kiki's holiday homes (Casa Azul, Casa Verde). The houses are very clean, pragmatically and comfortably furnished and well equipped. In the kitchen, apart from cooking utensils and spices, there are, for example, scales, a hand mixer and a mini oven. If you want, you could even bake a cake (with fresh eggs from Kiki's chickens)! In the cupboards you will find various German-language travel guides, games and a parasol to take home. Not to forget: The large garden can be used for playing. We really didn't miss anything.
The holiday home is in a quiet location (except for the rooster;-) ) and if you have a rental car, you can easily explore the whole island from here
Also important: Kiki and Jürgen are great hosts. They live next door, are very helpful and easy to reach. And they are just super nice people with whom you can chat in the evening
Conclusion: We have rarely stayed in such a nice place on holiday!
