Feel-good house

The house is very well located, close to the DB train station, bus stops and Baltic Sea beach. Very quiet, clean, nicely and friendly furnished, very nice and helpful landlady. We felt very comfortable and can only recommend it. The only downside is the steep staircase to the attic.

I had three lovely days in Travemünde. The accommodation was simple but well maintained. Sleeping in a train compartment is an unusual location and the accommodation was cheap.

Maritime and Sweet Moments

The Viermastbark Passat is a significant landmark for Travemünde. The ship with its huge masts still tells stories of seafaring and adventure, which can almost be grasped during a visit on deck. The ship is open daily for your visit, and the entrance fee is only 7 €. (As of August 2023)

The Old Lighthouse right on the promenade is also a visitor magnet. It is considered the oldest lighthouse in Germany and can now be climbed by tourists and residents for just 2 €. (As of August 2023)

If you continue walking along the water, you will come directly to the Nordmole. This is a type of pier, on which another lighthouse stands, still guiding ships safely into the harbor today. Enjoy the breathtaking view over the sea!

Nearby, the Hanseatic city of Lübeck entices with marzipan and the Holstentor. Let yourself be enchanted by the brick Gothic and historic buildings of Lübeck's Old Town, which are even part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
