Top apartment - clear recommendation

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A beautiful accommodation that is furnished with a lot of love for detail. You feel comfortable right away! The apartment is super equipped, very well-maintained, and clean. Especially great is the huge balcony, where you can wonderfully relax.

It's a short walk to the beach – but you already know that when booking and it didn't bother us at all.

We felt completely at ease and would love to come back! ? The landlord is very helpful and friendly - always available.

Good location

The apartment is located very close to the beach, short distances to the beach. The apartment was clean and tidy, but the furniture in the living room was very old. The described sofa bed was not suitable for sleeping. Definitely too small for 3 people. The bathroom was okay but also very small. The so-called kitchen was also much too small. My granddaughter could not open the door to the living room or could only open it with great difficulty; it is completely warped and needs to be replaced. The door handles made all the noises. It needs a bit of renovation. The view from the balcony was very nice and one could enjoy a piece of the Baltic Sea.

Super accommodation with a dog?

We have now booked this small, cozy apartment for the fourth time. It is perfect for our dog, as the garden is not facing the street. The essentials are in the apartment; everything else can be brought along. To get to Grömitz, it's a nice walk along the beach. I'm actually not a fan of always going to the same place, but everything just fits here ?????

Which sights are there in Grömitz?

Baltic Sea Vacation in an Apartment Between the Pier and the Most Beautiful Beach

Among the most beautiful attractions, in addition to the fine sandy beach, is the Grömitz Pier, which extends nearly 400 meters into the sea. At the end of the pier, you will also find a diving gondola, which for just 10 € takes you 3 meters deep into the sea, where you can inspect the breathtaking underwater landscape and the seabed. (As of August 2023) However, the seaside resort of Grömitz is not only ideal for a vacation in an affordable apartment directly on the beach but also as a starting point for a cruise across the Baltic Sea. Here, in addition to excursion trips, there are also sunset cruises or pirate trips, which children particularly enjoy. Excursion trips to nearby cities like Boltenhagen or Travemünde and to the Baltic island Fehmarn take place regularly during the peak season. The Baltic resort of Grömitz also has a very modern marina, which is the venue for various events, such as the Grömitz Week and other harbor festivals and regattas. The former is particularly popular with visitors and invites participation in various sports.

Especially the Grömitzer Lensterstrand is very popular and is within walking distance from your apartment. An idyll of powdery white sand and dunes on the Baltic Sea – bird sanctuaries gently round off these attractions. Nearby is an adventure center, ensuring that boredom stands no chance here. A very special highlight is the Zoo Arche Noah. It houses animals from all over the world, but local animals can also be admired. Right by the sea, there is a large seal enclosure. Here, you can watch the daily feeding – a great experience for both young and old.

Grömitz is very family-friendly: this is ensured not only by several attractive beach playgrounds and regular animation offers on the beach but also by the Beach House. Children from 4 years old can craft and play extensively here. These offers are easily accessible on foot from your apartment or house. In addition, the surfing and sailing schools invite youngsters to train their surfing or sailing skills during the vacation. Grömitz's leisure offerings are completed by the popular adventure saltwater wave pool Grömitzer Welle. Here, you can discover a huge bathing and sauna landscape. Fish Specialties from the Lübeck Bay are a Delight

The northernmost state is right at the source when it comes to fresh fish and shrimp. Besides specialties from the Baltic Sea, kale and tender salt marsh lamb are also well-known. You can enjoy these either in one of the numerous restaurants directly by the sea or buy them regionally at a market and prepare them yourself in your private apartment at a fair price.

Use Your Apartment as a Starting Point to Discover Cultural Treasures Along the Baltic Sea

The Haus der Natur Cismar nearby is a true insider tip. On more than 500 square meters of exhibition space, minerals, corals, fossils, or preserved mammals and birds are displayed daily from 10 am to 7 pm. (As of August 2023) The nearby Cismar Monastery is also an impressive example of Brick Gothic architecture and is surrounded by a moat and earth ramparts. The building is now used as a cultural center for various events and activities – such as art exhibitions by the Schleswig-Holstein State Museum Foundation. For those interested in culture, the Eutin Castle in Ostholstein, 30 km away, is also exciting to visit. The Baroque castle impresses particularly with its architecture, the imposing interior, and the elaborately designed castle garden.
