Holiday apartments and houses in Ramsau im Zillertal

We were allowed to spend a wonderful holiday time as a living group with a total of nine people at Verena and Markus in the Zillertal. The house was spotless and well-equipped. Particularly pleasant was that each room has its own bathroom. Everything we needed for our shared stay was also available in the kitchen. The surroundings and the view were beautiful. A special joy were the animals we were able to come into contact with: cows, chickens, and the incredibly loving dog of the hosts. The location is also ideal – shopping opportunities, a bank, as well as numerous activities and excursion destinations are located very nearby. Verena and Markus are warm, open, and down-to-earth hosts. The exchange with them was always pleasant and appreciative – we felt very welcome. They showed us everything calmly and gave us great tips for excursions and restaurants. We could even get fresh eggs directly from them. We were able to do a lot and at the same time really enjoy our time in the house. Thank you very much, dear Verena and dear Markus, for your hospitality and for making our stay so pleasant. We take many beautiful memories with us and wholeheartedly recommend your accommodation!

Pros: The beds are fine and the bedrooms are nicely spacious. The closet space for clothing is also quite ample. Cons: The cottage seems somewhat outdated, not everything in the kitchen and bathroom works properly anymore. The living area is too small for 5 people. Fortunately, we could move to the balcony. There was an incredible amount of pests, mosquitoes, flies, and wasps. Because it was warm, we had to sleep with the window open; screens could provide a solution for this. When asked to separate waste, it is also useful to provide the opportunity for this by placing multiple bins. We used the apartment for two weeks, nothing was cleaned in between, but since there were no cleaning supplies available, we could not do this ourselves either. In our opinion, the price-quality ratio is not entirely correct.

The holiday apartment was overall very high-quality furnished and corresponded in this regard to the information in the description. The equipment seemed exclusive. Unfortunately, there were some points that affected the stay. A noticeable heating oil smell was perceptible from the basement area, which also partially affected the bed linen and towels. We found that unpleasant. Additionally, there was no personal briefing or greeting from the landlord upon arrival. Our request for fresh towels was responded to, but they were placed the next morning directly on the bare floor in front of the entrance door—at a spot where guests enter the house with street shoes. We found this to be rather inappropriate from a hygiene perspective and not particularly service-oriented. Also unpleasant was the installed camera in the area of the whirlpool. Even if there may be understandable reasons for this, we did not feel comfortable in this relaxation area. Overall, the accommodation scores points with its high-quality furnishings, but we see a clear need for improvement in service, odor situation, and privacy.
