What a beautiful place with fantastic views

Hello Moshir and Ingeborg,

What a beautiful house you have. Everything is super clean and very spacious. What we (9 people) liked very much is the location between all the ski areas. You can reach everywhere in about a 20-minute car ride. The most beautiful ski area we found (unanimously) was Bramberg am Wildkogel. But the rest was also great. The kids really enjoyed the pool table. Personally, I found the large couch very comfortable after a long day of skiing.

Very nice house

We were on vacation here with a total of three families! 6 adults with 6 children! Five children occupied bunk beds in the quadruple room, so one room was even free! Except for shot glasses (thanks to egg cups), we didn't miss anything here at all! We will gladly come back!

Beautiful large house between the mountains. The house is situated among various ski areas, so you can go somewhere different every day if you want. The house is beautifully decorated. There's something for everyone. Downstairs there is a pool table, a sauna is available, and the men can play PlayStation.
The bathrooms are spacious, and the beds slept wonderfully.
A great house to spend your holiday in Austria.

How is the weather in Mittersill?

Mittersill has a moderate to alpine climate with cool, rainy summers and cold winters. Between June and August, the average high temperatures are around 18°C, and this is also when the most precipitation falls. May and September offer optimal hiking weather. Winters are cold and snowy, making it perfect for a ski holiday in Mittersill. In January, temperatures in the ski area are around freezing in the valley. The ski bus takes you to the Wildkogel-Arena ski area, for example.

From noodles and dumplings – The cuisine of the Salzburg region

Noodles (Nocken) and dumplings are ubiquitous dishes in the Salzburg region. You'll find them on the menus of upscale restaurants as well as mountain huts. In summer, sweet variations with pears, apples, berries, or plums are popular. Salzburger Nockerln (with powdered sugar, egg yolk, flour, and lemon zest) come golden brown from the oven. Kasnocken taste similar to Spätzle and are mixed with Pinzgauer cheese. This cheese is also used in Kaspressknödel, made from flour, water, and egg. They taste excellent as a soup garnish or fried in lard as a main course with sauerkraut. The crowning glory of desserts is Kaiserschmarrn, which Emperor Franz Joseph brought to the court from his hunting trips. The many rivers and lakes in the region provide excellent trout, carp, and crayfish, which can be found in many dishes. The favourite drink to accompany meals is a cool beer from one of the local breweries. A specialty from Salzburg is beer meat. Wine lovers should try Grüner Veltliner, a sparkling and fruity white wine. In winter, the red Zweigelt warms the soul.
