House for comfort in a great location

Upon our arrival, we found a lovingly maintained and very clean house in prime location. Everything you need for self-catering is on-site. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom is practically furnished. In the small, fully enclosed garden, one can sit nicely and gets plenty of sunshine. In just a few minutes on foot, you reach the beautiful dune landscape or the beach of Oostkapelle. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back!

Relaxed days in Oostkapelle

1. The booking was completely straightforward. The contact with Ms. Brouwer was excellent. She is a charming and attentive hostess. We immediately felt at home. There was a bottle of wine to welcome us. We toasted to a wonderful vacation with it.
2. The apartment is cozily furnished, has a large modern bathroom, is very well-maintained, and absolutely clean. Everything we needed was really there, and if something was missing, we could have simply asked.
3. It was great that we could park right in front of the house.
The walk to the beach may be a bit far for some, but it's absolutely manageable on foot. That's just part of the walk. Shops and restaurants are nearby.
4. We received great tips for excursions.
And not to forget: The peace and quiet were heavenly. We did not use the sweet little garden because it was a bit cool outside and we were very busy. We would book this apartment again at any time.

"Luck grip"

We found a stylish, colorfully designed vacation home that was newly renovated in 2023, along with our dog. We were warmly welcomed by the friendly and helpful landlords with fresh cut flowers and delicious cinnamon rolls for the key handover. Parking in the courtyard directly by the vacation home made it easy to load and unload our luggage. We look forward to a reunion!

Expansive Nature Around Oostkapelle

The Dutch village is located right by the sea and is especially known for its long sandy beach. You can spend the entire day here. The dune landscape also connects to several hiking and biking trails into nature. What is a must-see in Oostkapelle?

Church, Castle, Towers

If you visit the nearby town of Westkapelle, we recommend the Polderhuis. In this war museum, you can learn about how the local dike was built, destroyed, and rebuilt. Admission for adults is €5, children up to 12 years pay €1, and teenagers up to 18 years €3.50. (As of September 2023)

An interesting museum is also located in the town of Nieuwdorp: the Bevrijdingsmuseum Zeeland. With an attached large garden, it showcases the country's history during World War II. You can admire the exhibition from Tuesday to Saturday between 10 AM and 5 PM. (As of September 2023)

In Haamstede, a visit to Slot Haamstede is worthwhile. This is a castle with a defensive tower from the 13th century, which is still well-preserved.

In Oostkapelle itself, the Orangerie of Kasteel Westhove hosts several cultural and traditional delights. A tall-stem garden, a dune garden, a flower-covered dike garden, or a refuge hill where locals wanted to keep their feet dry are the highlights here.

The Orangerie also houses the Terra Maris (Land of the Sea). It is a museum for nature and landscape. A great exhibition shows you the diverse native nature, which you can admire daily from 10 AM to 5 PM. (As of September 2023)
