We have already been there twice for a few days, but it is really a beautiful and relaxing vacation. The contact with the landlord was very nice and helpful. The apartment is well equipped and we didn't miss anything. It is very quiet and you can relax nicely. Perfect location, the paths are not far and you can easily reach various hiking trails. We will definitely vacation with them again. Best regards.

Hahnenklee is one of the most beautiful hiking regions in Germany. One of the most popular hiking trails is the Liebesbankweg. Among the numerous attractions of the charming spa town Bad Sachsa with Art Nouveau architecture is the Borderland Museum, which displays a wealth of original exhibits showing the development of the inner German border of the Harz from 1945 until the reunification. Admission costs €4 for adults, children up to 12 years enter free. It is open from March to December at the following times (as of November 2023): • Wed, Fri, Sat, Sun: 1 – 5 PM The Wöltingerode Monastery is famous for its fine spirits from the monastery distillery. And on the mountain meadows in the Lower and Upper Harz grazes the Harz Red Cattle, which provides air-dried planed meat and braised beef. Vegetables and herbs like wild garlic, nettle, dandelion, pigeon's crop, sorrel appear in many regional dishes. Vegetables come from the northern edge of the Harz, while porcini mushrooms, chanterelles, honey mushrooms, saffron milk caps, and chestnuts come from the forests. The favorite drink of the Harz people is the beer, partly from the Hasseröder Brewery in Wernigerode, where a modern brewhouse has been built in recent years.
