Top holiday home!

We enjoyed our vacation here with our dog for 2 weeks in mid-September. The holiday home convinced us in every respect. The kitchen was well equipped, we lacked nothing. The fenced garden with a view of the fields was not only appreciated by our dog. We can recommend the house 100% with a clear conscience and will definitely come back ourselves. Thank you again, Göttsch family, for the little welcome gift for us and our dog!

Which sights are there in Hohenfelde?

Lots of animal fun around Hohenfelde

During your holidays on the Baltic Sea beach, relax in your apartment with sea views. The region is ideal for vacationing with dogs. Your four-legged friend may not be allowed in the Molfsee Open Air Museum, but attractions around Hohenfelde await. Visit Gottorf Castle or discover the Schmoel biotope at Schmoeler Beach. The biotope, just four kilometers away, uses display boards to inform about the birds that have found a new habitat there. From the viewing platform, you experience a breathtaking view of your holiday destination on the Baltic Sea. The adventure continues at the Schwentinental Wildlife Park. Briefly guided, your dog can also join in the wildlife park. Over 50 animal species such as Highland cattle, wallaby kangaroos, peacocks, and wild boars are just some of the animal inhabitants in this extraordinary landscape. The actual attraction is the sea. Wherever you rent your accommodation, you will be warmly welcomed, and even your pet, whether a dog or a cat, is welcome. Before you write postcards in your apartment in the Hohwacht Bay, give your dog plenty of exercise in the best location. Whether you prefer a house or a simpler accommodation - what's more important is whether you all feel comfortable there and, of course, the location of the apartment in Hohenfelde. The most beautiful holiday home is less fun if the playground or the beach is too far away.

What do you need to experience in Hohenfelde?

We're riding on the train...

Here, childhood dreams come true! Not far from your accommodation in the center of Hohenfelde, the most beautiful attractions of the Kiel Bay await: The Schönberger Strand Museum Railway delights young and old with historical railway trains. Hard to imagine, but some unique pieces have already celebrated their 100th birthday. This unique museum is not far from your holiday home on the natural beach of Hohenfelde. So do not miss visiting this gem of North German museum culture. In the fishing village of Hohwacht, the Hohwachter Flounder, a sea platform, welcomes you, named for its peculiar shape. The pier has long become the landmark of the Baltic Sea spa town of Hohwacht.

What can you experience in Hohenfelde with children?

Pure adventure for families and nature lovers

Not only the little ones find a visit to the Ostrich Farm Ostseeblick in Hohenfelde, not far from your apartment with sea views, fascinating. Take a peek into the chick breeding of the impressive animals and stroll along the hiking trail that leads around the ostrich enclosure. In the farm shop, there's plenty to buy. Ever held a real ostrich egg? The animal adventure continues at the Hohenfelde Nature Experience Center. Several touch pools provide tangible experiences with starfish, shore crabs, and other marine inhabitants of the Baltic Sea. Look forward to a family-friendly vacation on the Baltic Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein, where your pet is also warmly welcomed. Horse lovers can ride out in this idyllic landscape and explore the surroundings of Hohenfelde on horseback. Many leisure activities on the beach such as boules at Schönberger Strand or Nordic walking in the Hohwacht Bay make the vacation a colorful potpourri.

Where can I eat out in Hohenfelde?

More than just fish sandwiches

The culinary delights of the Baltic Sea pamper you all around. Whether in your affordable holiday home with sea views and Wi-Fi on the Kiel Bay or in a restaurant in the center of Hohenfelde: The regional cuisine tempts with delicious fish offered in various forms. Spicy and famous like Viennese sausages, the fish sandwiches of the Baltic Sea are a must-try. Grab one, sit in the beach chair, and feast in this dreamy setting. Doesn't that sound like a great vacation with a chance of repeating? It doesn't always have to be fish sandwiches, but Kiel sprats or other regional specialties of the Baltic Sea are definitely a must on the kitchen table during your Baltic Sea beach vacation. Cozy togetherness including the pet in your accommodation in Heiligenhafen planned? That's also the advantage of a holiday home at Schönberger Strand or the Hohwacht Bay. Not far from the beach, rent a holiday home with all the bells and whistles. In your own house, the dog can romp in the garden while you fry delicious meatballs in the kitchen of your holiday home in Hohenfelde. The Kiel Bay is not only culinarily the perfect location to relax casually on the beach. Lie comfortably on the natural beach while your pet explores the surroundings. In the house, your dog probably feels comfortable too, but a walk on Schönberger Strand clears the mind for everyone.
