The villa has recently been completely restored and will be rented for the first time in the 2020 season.
This charming holiday home is situated in the middle of the medieval village of Sassorosso in the Garfagnana region and offers a very pleasant climate even in midsummer.
It offers a fantastic panoramic view of the typical Tuscan landscape and the surrounding Apuan Alps.
The property is an excellent destination for a relaxing holiday. It invites you to make day trips to Viareggio or to the famous beaches of Versilia or to explore the region of Garfagnana with its charming villages and beautiful landscapes
The holiday home is also an ideal starting point for hikes and walks (the Orecchiella Nature Park is recommended) and other outdoor activities such as golf, tennis, horseback riding, mountain biking, etc.

Interior:
The holiday resort has been lovingly restored with the original building materials terracotta, wood and natural stone in the typical Garfagnana style and furnished with antique furniture.
With 300 m² it offers a lot of space for 13 people, who are accommodated in 5 bedrooms.
The guests enter the house via a large panoramic terrace, the entrance leads to the two wings of the house.
The left wing consists of two floors:
On the ground floor there is a living room with a sofa and an armchair as well as a decorative fireplace. From here you have a wonderful view of the beautiful red marble courtyard and the medieval village
Also on this floor there is a bedroom with double bed and single bed and a large bathroom en suite with bathtub.
From the living room a staircase leads up to the upper floor with a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. Both rooms use the adjoining bathroom with spacious shower
From here, a French door leads to the rear garden, where there is a pool and dining area.
The second wing also consists of two floors:
On the ground floor there is a large bright room with an open kitchen with a small storeroom, a dining area with a large wooden table for up to 13 people and a living area with a comfortable sofa, a coffee table and a fireplace corner. This room is connected to the garden by a large glass door, so you have quick access to the pool and dining area.
A stone staircase leads from this floor to the upper floor. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, with private bathroom with shower and a second bedroom with three single beds, also with private bathroom with shower
From this room you can enter the garden through a French window and enjoy the beautiful view of the Apuan Alps.
Exterior:
The quiet country house is situated in a 300 m² garden, which is terraced.
On the entrance level there is a large panoramic terrace at the front of the house, which is equipped with a parasol, deckchairs and comfortable outdoor furniture. At the back of the house there is a large garden that extends over several levels.
On the first level you can see a red marble paved area with garden chairs, a shade umbrella and a large table for a maximum of 13 people, which invites you to dine outdoors
On this level there is also the swimming pool with whirlpool (10x4m; deep) with sunbathing lawn and outdoor shower and a well from which water flows into the pool
A red marble staircase leads to the sun terrace, where you can find more sunshades and deckchairs. From here the guests have a breathtaking panoramic view of the village and the Apuan Alps.
The road that leads to the property is asphalted and easy to drive on, also suitable for sports cars or bicycles. A few metres from the house there is ample parking.
Please note:
The holiday home is rented exclusively. This means that the entire house, the garden and the pool are at the guests' disposal for their exclusive use.
Normally we rent from Saturday to Saturday. If you want to book differently, please ask.

The villa is located in Sassorosso, one of the most characteristic villages of the Garfagnana, in the Natural Park of Orecchiella
It is a village of ancient origin, once inhabited by shepherds, enthroned on the top of a small mountain from where you can enjoy a fantastic view of the Apuan Alps and the nearby Pania di Corfino
Sassorosso is famous for its red marble with which the houses of the village are built. It's an enchanting, quiet place that takes us back in time
The ideal place for those who want to spend a relaxing stay in the midst of nature in an enchanting atmosphere.
To the next village with shopping facilities it is only 1500 meters and within walking distance
A wider range of shops, services and restaurants can be found in Castiglione di Garfagnana (7 km) or in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (12 km).
Sports activities such as tennis and horse riding can be found in the surrounding area, while the Garfagnana Golf Club is 7 kilometres away.
