Description
The farm is located below the small village of Corfino and there is a path that leads from the farm land directly to the village.
You have the view of the mountains and the whole Garfagnana. So you can see both mountain ranges: the Apuane and the Apennines.
The property offers its guests two types of accommodation: a larger house suitable for up to 7 people and a smaller one for two people.
The largest house, obtained from the structure that was once the ancient barn, can be reached via a staircase that crosses the garden.
As often happens here in Tuscany, the entrance leads directly into the kitchen which features a kitchenette with oven, a comfortable dining table and a sofa positioned right in front of the fireplace.
From the living area, crossing a small corridor, you enter the sleeping area where we find 3 spacious bedrooms, very bright and furnished in a rustic style and 2 bathrooms with shower.
The rooms are: one double, one double with a single bed and one single with the possibility of adding another bed.
Outside we find a wood-burning oven, barbecue and a table for enjoying lunches and dinners outdoors during the warm summer evenings.
The small house is obtained from what was once the metato, or a small building whose use was dedicated to drying chestnuts, very important for the economy of the families who lived in the Garfagnana. It is located a few meters from the fenced garden on the small path that leads to the village.
Inside we find the living room with fireplace, the small but fully equipped kitchen.
A wooden staircase leads to the double bedroom, located on the upper floor where we also find a bathroom with shower.
In front of the house there is a small dining table with barbecue.
The Corfino farmhouse offers guests of both houses a beautiful and large swimming pool (12 × 6 xh1.40m) with shower and solarium area.
There is also a common outdoor area at their disposal, where there is a dining table, where they can eat something, admire the sunset or simply play in the shade.
There are still many animals inside the farm, so it can also be a nice adventurous holiday even for the little ones.
The cows graze on top of the mountain in the summer, but besides them you can find horses, goats, chickens, rabbits and of course the rulers of all farms, cats!

Garfagnana is the hilly-mountainous area north of Lucca.
The village of Corfino is located on the edge of the nature reserve and is ideal for hikers.
In the village there is a bar and a grocery store.
If you want to hike, you will find almost endless possibilities here and nature lovers are right here too. There are three natural parks in the immediate vicinity: the Pania di Corfino with 135 hectares, L'Orecchiella with 215 hectares in size and the Lamarossa with 167 hectares.
The area is known for the easier hiking trails as there are many plateaus. The owners have the cows on top of the mountain pasture all summer long.

A rather sleepy area that offers peace and nature away from the tourist mass, as found in the rest of Tuscany. There are many small medieval villages and towns here that can be explored. There is a lot to see and do.
