There are plenty of ski schools & ski rental shops in Kaprun. The Schmittenhöhe mountain behind the town of Zell am See has 80 km of piste. This has some excellent terrain for the advanced skier. Zell am See and Kaprun have everything to offer you for an active holiday : In fact about 40 different kinds of sports everything from walking and biking to more extreme sports like canoeing and rafting, as well as skiing and snowboarding. You can ski and snowboard on the wonderful powder snow even in the summer. This is because the Kitzsteinhorn glacier guarantees snow 365 days a year. Kaprun and Zell am See form ‘Europa-Sportregion’.
