A small paradise behind the dunes: A feel-good secret tip – Also for the four-legged friend 🐾

We were in this wonderful fisherman's house in Fabiola Beach Park from October 18 to 25 and felt completely at home here.

We never felt that it was an anonymous vacation rental – with two children and a dog, we have experienced many accommodations, but this house was simply special; it felt like a real home away from home. Everything is clean, everything is there, and it is furnished with so much love for detail that you feel welcome from the very first moment. One arrives, can go directly to the beach, and the vacation begins immediately.

The kitchen is excellently equipped, the beds are heavenly comfortable, and you can tell that hosts with heart and passion are at work here. My personal highlight was the lovingly designed conservatory. Even on windy days, we could sit there protected, enjoy the last rays of sunshine before winter, play cards with the children - with a warm cocoa in hand - and simply let our souls dangle while our dog slept at our feet. For him, it was a dream vacation as well; he could move freely on the completely fenced property and run for miles on the beach every day.

The hosts were incredibly warm from the very beginning. The communication was always friendly, professional, and uncomplicated. The location is also ideal – quiet, sheltered, and yet just a stone's throw from the beach. A small walkway leads directly to the endless sandy beach. Blankenberge and Wenduine can be quickly reached with the provided bicycles.

We were there during the autumn holidays, rain was forecasted for the whole week and instead we only had sunny days (while it was raining at home ?). So don't be discouraged by the forecasts, the weather changes faster by the sea! All in all, it was the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and simply be happy. We will definitely come back. ?

Beautiful little house with a lovely conservatory.

The cottage is easily accessible and within walking distance of the sea. The furnishings are extensive and equipped with all comforts. The attached conservatory is lovely for relaxing while having breakfast or reading a book. The towns of Wenduine and Blankenberge are easily reachable, both by bike and on foot. We would love to return. The only downside is the shower in the bath. It is difficult for older people to step in.

Cozy, clean little house with a great winter garden. The beach is a two-minute walk away, and Wenduine or Blankenberge can also be reached quickly. The hosts are very nice, and the service is great! The information provided in advance leaves no questions unanswered. Another plus is the entertainment in the house; everything is available from Alexa to Netflix, Amazon, and German TV channels. Would love to come back!

You can easily and quickly reach your apartment or private holiday home in Wenduine by train. From Cologne, take the ICE to Brussels and then change to the train to Ostend. Along the coast, the Kusttram connects all seaside resorts. It runs from Ostend via Bredene and De Haan to your accommodation in Wenduine. By car, the journey from Cologne or the Ruhr area takes only about three hours. The route takes you through Brussels, Ghent, and Bruges to the Belgian coast.
