Vacation with Dogs

The holiday with dogs is good here. Water nearby and also walks suitable for the dog/dogs. The property is very well fenced, so the dogs can run around. What bothered us a little was the street, cobblestones. There was a lot of traffic until the evening. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Perfect peace in a perfect house!

Those seeking peace and happiness in nature are just right in Wooster Teerofen. The holiday home is fully and very lovingly furnished; one feels like in paradise. The living areas, the piano, the kitchen, the garden leave nothing to be desired. In cooler temperatures, underfloor heating in the bathroom provides comfort. We only saw the rabbits hopping outside the garden. However, we were able to joyfully greet the pond frog couple in the morning and evening. We were here for three weeks and would very happily come back. Thank you very much, dear Wiegners!

Ideal for vacations with multiple small dogs

We were able to spend 11 relaxing days in this small but fine holiday home. We (2 adults) and 5 small dogs felt very comfortable as nothing was missing in the holiday home. Every morning we had breakfast on the large terrace and in the evenings we also ended the day there. We were out exploring almost every day, as there was plenty to discover. We will definitely come back once again.

Through the Old Town and into the Müritzeum

In the charming old town, over 150 houses are protected as historical monuments. Many of the historic half-timbered houses still have original wooden doors from the 19th century. The St. Marien Parish Church has been around since the 13th century. The remains of the former fortification even include a walkable castle tower and dungeon. In the castle courtyard, there is a museum dedicated to Plau's craftsmanship and industrialization. Other interesting excursion destinations include the Plau Water Mill, the former synagogue, the drawbridge built by prisoners of war, and the Eldeschleuse. For a panoramic view of the lake, climb the lookout tower right at the transition from the Müritz-Elde Waterway to Lake Plau. One of the most visited attractions in the region is located in the town of Waren: the Müritzeum. Serving as both a museum and adventure park on the Mecklenburg Lake District, it is the first natural history museum in Schwerin. Admission prices start at €7 for children up to 16, adults pay €14 per ticket (as of September 2023). Dogs are also allowed here. The Müritzeum is open daily from 11 AM to 7 PM from April to October. The Plau Drawbridge is in the center of the town of Plau am See. The bridge is passed under by boats exiting Lake Plau into the Elde. Also, climb the "Moorochse" lookout tower and enjoy the view of the Nordufer nature reserve.

In the Land of 1000 Lakes, a round tour of the Mecklenburg Lakes is a must. In Göhren-Lebbin at Fleesensee, the so-called Flanierball takes place annually in November at Schloss Fleesensee. One of the oldest methods of food preservation is smoking. Learn the art of smoking at a smoking school and afterwards enjoy your self-made delicacies. Every year from late September to early October, the Müritz Fish Days take place, focusing on regional food culture and the variety of fish species from the waters of the Mecklenburg Lake District.
