Attractions in Teterow

Besides Teterow, there are other places you should visit. Dahmen with its observation tower is an attractive destination when you are vacationing in this region. The St. Peter and Paul city church was likely built around 1270. Admire the Triumphal Cross found in the main nave or the neo-Gothic main altar. Stroll past the neo-Baroque town hall and through the Rostocker and Malchiner Gates. One of the city's Gothic gates, the Malchiner Gate, invites a visit to the city museum and the former prison cells. Teschow is among the most beautiful manor complexes in the state, with an eleven-axis manor house that is now a sports and golf hotel. The Burgwall Island, in the middle of Lake Teterow, is easily accessible by a cable ferry. Once, a wooden bridge led to the former Slavic settlement site. During your holiday days here, do not miss visiting the historic mill district. The city mill with its mill pond is a picturesque spot for a picnic. The water mill is now a restaurant. Here in the mill district, you will learn a lot about the old technology of a mill.
