Very beautiful house

We, 6 adults and 2 dogs, spent just under a week in this great holiday home. Everyone loved the house. A bottle of sparkling wine was on the table as a welcome. On the second day, the landlord even called to ask if everything was okay. The house is equipped with everything you need on vacation. The living area is nice and spacious and comfortably furnished. The large dining table is especially fantastic. There was enough space for everyone. Everyone slept great. The surroundings are great. It was just a few steps to the bakery around the corner. There was a lot to do both on foot and by car. We would definitely book this house again. Eight people have plenty of space there. We would love to come back sometime.

Nice holiday apartment with terrace and barrel sauna in the garden. It was important for us to have a charging station for our electric car directly at the house. The surroundings are very beautiful with the Müritz, the many bike paths, and the nice small towns. We will definitely come back.

In 1990, the Müritz National Park was established - the largest terrestrial national park in Germany. Most of the park is located in the historic cultural region of Mecklenburg-Strelitz. Particularly worth seeing in Röbel are the early Gothic brick churches of St. Marien and St. Nikolai. From the tower of the Marienkirche, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surroundings. Until the 13th century, Röbel consisted of two separate settlements that belonged to different bishoprics. The medieval town center with the historic old town is paved with field and natural stones. From there, you can quickly reach the harbor with numerous restaurants and cafes, a beautiful harbor promenade, and the Müritz beach bath. Another historical attraction on the Müritz is Klink Castle. The castle was built up to 1898 in the style of the Loire castles in the Neo-Renaissance style. Gradually, an economic building, the gatehouse, the castle park, the boat harbor, and finally an annex with a mirror hall and guest rooms were added.

Troy, Ships, and Airplanes

Take a trip to the castle island of Mirow - about 20 minutes by car from your holiday apartment or house in Röbel. At the cultural and experience center, an interactive exhibition awaits you about the Duchy of Mecklenburg-Strelitz and the three queens. You can also take historical tours of the impressive ensemble of the castle island or go on a royal treasure hunt. The lake view offered here is unforgettable. A contrasting program in Bollewick: A few kilometers south of Röbel stands the largest fieldstone barn in Germany. During GDR times, it was used for agricultural purposes, later extensively restored. Today, you will find, among other things, a creative workshop and several small craft businesses. You can also follow in the footsteps of the world-famous discoverer of Troy, Schliemann: At the Heinrich Schliemann Museum in Ankershagen, you will get to know the man Schliemann and his work. The museum was once the parental home of the discoverer. You can also embark on a personal discovery journey at the Aviation Technical Museum Rechlin. Here, you will learn all about the development of Rechlin as the former largest testing site for land-based aircraft. You will experience a turbulent history as if in flight - from the then fastest jet aircraft back to the covered biplane. The fastest boat of its kind on the Baltic Sea can also be admired in the courtyard of the museum.

After the monotony of GDR cuisine, top chefs have dug up old cookbooks and long-forgotten recipes of grandmothers and are cooking new creative dishes based on these foundations. Typical are sweet and sour flavored dishes. Sugar, raisins, and prunes are often part of a main course.
