We were very friendly and received the necessary explanations ... Apartment is very quiet in Fisser Höfe, ski bus nearby and you can also walk via footpath to Fiss (1600 meters or 20 minutes walk). Through the accommodation you get in Fiss right at the lifts a locker for your ski equipment to store, very handy without all that material on the bus ☺ short, it is a blissful stay and super clean and spacious apartment!

Beautiful apartment with a super spontaneous nice hostess. Make use of the bread service, fresh every day in front of your door! Perfect location, around the corner from the ski bus, but we walked every morning to the lift, through the back through the field, easy to do!! You are also in the village in no time ... Super clean and very hygienic ... top location, highly recommended!!!! Our big thanks for this wonderful holiday!!!..

Fine, clean and complete house with stunning views. Friendly and helpful owner. With the super sommercard you can use 7 cable cars in the area. We have a lot up in the mountains walked after our children aged 8 and 10 could indulge in one of the beautiful playgrounds. The toboggan tried awesome! There are nice restaurants nearby. All in all we had a great holiday!

How do I come to Fiss?

Welcome to the sunny side of Tyrol in Fiss

The small, unique municipality of Fiss is located on the so-called sun terrace above the Inn in the Tyrolean Oberland in the district of Landeck. The holiday region is situated on the sun plateau above the Upper Inn Valley, about 20 kilometers from the district capital Landeck. Authentic Alpine cuisine with dumplings, Gröstl, and Brettljause

Kaiserschmarrn, Tafelspitz, and Wiener Schnitzel are the export hits of Austrian cuisine. In particular, Tyrol attracts gourmets less with refinement than with hearty and honest Alpine cuisine. Dumplings come in all variations, especially with the famous Tyrolean bacon. In addition to bacon dumplings, Kaspressknödel are a local specialty, prepared in each valley with its own cheese. The Tyrolean Brettljause, consisting of fresh bread, regional cheese, bacon, and sausage specialties, is suitable as a (full) meal in between. You should definitely try the Austrian wines, the red Zweigelt, or the fresh Grüner Veltliner. The main growing areas are located in Burgenland, Styria, and Lower Austria. History and tradition in the Tyrolean Oberland

The history of Fiss dates back to the Middle Ages. The oldest preserved houses in the historic village center with the four village fountains date from the 16th and 17th centuries. The late Gothic parish church of St. John the Baptist dates back to the 14th century in its origins. The church was baroqueized in the 18th century. A special event is the Blochziehen in Fiss, an old Fasnacht custom that is supposed to drive out evil and winter. The Blochziehen is listed as an intangible cultural heritage at UNESCO. In the Tyrolean Oberland, there are other similar customs in Nassereith, Imst, and Telfs. In the neighboring village of Ladis, the Laudeck Castle is worth a visit, with its mighty residential tower perched on a slate mountain high above the village. The castle is secured by a surrounding curtain wall, an outer bailey, and a gate tower.
