The brand new magistrate's flat is on the top floor. It offers you a beautiful view over the Innerstetal and the old mountain town of Wildemann from all sides. It is equipped for up to 6 people and offers a spacious living room incl. dining area, 3 bedrooms for 2 people each, a large kitchen with dining area, and a bathroom with bathtub and WC.

The typical Harz patrician house, built around 1870 and completely renovated in 2015, is located above the Bohlweg, in the centre of the village.
This means you can reach restaurants and pubs without having to climb any metres.
In a sunny location on the slope of the Gallingsberg, it is not directly on the main road, but slightly elevated on a small square. From here begins the pedestrian path to the Magdalenen Church and the start of many hiking trails. Highly recommended!
We had booked the entire house (both flats and the officials' room) for a weekend with student friends. The reception was very friendly, the flats are very well equipped and even with 10 people we could sit together at tables and make raclette without any problems. Everything was just fine!
The surroundings are also fantastic. The place is rightly called "Little Tyrol" and is very much influenced by the former mining industry (among other things, there is the possibility to take part in guided tours in a former mine). The village is equipped with all the necessities, is beautifully situated in a valley, and you are immediately surrounded by nature. By car, you can get to the next towns of Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Goslar, which are well worth a visit.
All in all, a great weekend, not least because of the very friendly and helpful nature of the landlord couple!

It just fits! Thank you for everything!
Over New Year, we rented the Magistrate's and Mayor's apartments together and spent wonderful, peaceful days celebrating the new year. Hospitality is highly valued here, and we felt well taken care of from the moment we arrived. The wonderful, uncomplicated, and unobtrusive care of the hosts, who live nearby and were always available, is worth mentioning. We were welcomed with a reception basket containing coffee, tea, wine, and other things that allowed us to relax immediately after arrival without stress.
The especially valuable and extremely up-to-date tips for businesses and outings were really helpful. Equally special was the quick help when we accidentally locked ourselves out of the apartment on the first day and when we needed to find a pediatrician. The host's wife even accompanied the parents to the doctor in a neighboring town, which was certainly unique.
The apartments are completely new and equipped with everything needed. Additionally, we really enjoyed that both apartments are very spacious, providing enough room for all guests. We had enough space in the Magistrate's apartment to eat together and enjoy the evenings with all 6 adults and 4 children. In Wildemann itself, there is everything necessary for quick errands (bakery and well-stocked grocery store a 5-minute walk away, as well as several restaurants and also a Glow-Golf Hall = Miniature golf under black light conditions, the 19-Lachter Tunnel) and perfect starting points for hiking and cross-country skiing. We were just unlucky that winter only arrived when we left. Another tip: Directly opposite is the "Zum Rathaus" hotel, where there is really good cuisine and also the opportunity to book massages even as guests.
From Wildemann, trips to the Brocken, Goslar, and the many Harz communities are no problem. And there is pure nature here.
We can wholeheartedly recommend the property, always remembering the care and true hospitality. We wish the hosts from the bottom of our hearts always satisfied guests and the best occupancy. Thanks again for everything and wonderful greetings to Benno and Ragna in the Upper Harz.

Absolute top housing!
We wanted to celebrate Christmas with our family in a beautiful holiday home in a hiking environment, and after some searching, we chose the AltesRathaus in Wildemann.
What a perfect choice we made! We will definitely come back next year.
From the first to the last day, we enjoyed the holiday homes, Wildemann, and the surroundings.
The homes (the holiday house consists of 2 homes) are equipped with everything you could need. From a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and bathroom to generous bedrooms with large-screen TVs, and, importantly, comfortable beds.
Hospitality is exceptional here, from the extremely welcoming reception by the owners to our departure, every question we had was answered promptly.
Folders filled with useful information for various outings, nearby, further away, summer, winter, indoors and outdoors, for kids and adults. A welcome basket with coffee, tea, water, wine, snacks, etc...
The surroundings are all nature, you basically walk straight into nature, or get in the car and in no time are in one of the other beautiful places in or around the Harz.
The medieval Goslar, the steam train to the Brocken summit, or a trip to one of the museums or (children's) swimming pools, all within a short distance.
Of the many holiday homes we have rented so far, this is definitely the top one. That is why we can highly recommend the AltesRathaus and the Harz to everyone.

Expectations exceeded by far
Group of 5 people around the age of 30 + dog - Since this constellation already restricts the search field significantly, we quickly came across the Old Town Hall in Wildemann.
Contacted the landlord and received a prompt response. We were surprised by the price, as for 3 nights with a dog and all additional costs (final cleaning, WiFi, tourist tax), even less attractive accommodations were not available. The good impression was confirmed on site as well, super nice landlord, the apartment exceeded our expectations and was equipped down to the last detail with everything you could need on vacation.
In short, we can highly recommend the Alte Rathaus in Wildemann to everyone!
Best regards to the Harz, we will definitely see each other again!
It was love at first sight: The pretty, historic mountain town of Wildemann with its impressive nature in the middle of the Harz Mountains inspired us to acquire the Old Town Hall in order to realise fantastic and wonderful holiday flats.
