House with a lot of charm and cordiality

A house with a lot of atmosphere, very clean, very well equipped, nothing was missing! Dogs are just as welcome as people?
The house has a very good central location. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the duvets light and warm just great! The technical equipment is very good. Large flatscreens in all rooms fantastic, thank you!

Highly recommended accommodation

We were with 7 adults, 5 children and 2 dogs in the upper apartments. All our expectations were exceeded. The kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were all in new condition and very clean. The kitchens had all the electric appliances you need, including coffee, coffee pads, and tea. Sugar and rock candy were also provided. Very nice reception, introduction, and tips from the landlord. Since the living room in the mayor's apartment is very spacious, we were able to have breakfast all together there. Bakery, small grocery store, and restaurant only a few meters away. We all felt very comfortable. We highly recommend this vacation home. Thumbs up and thank you again.

Beautiful family vacation

We were with 9 adults and 2 children in the house, everyone liked it. Everything went completely uncomplicated - from booking to payment, handover and return. There are very comfortable beds available. - There are many beautiful hiking trails around the village and many tourist attractions nearby.

Very nice accommodation.

This time we were at a family weekend in Wildemann and had both apartments of the holiday house. Since there were 9 adults and 2 children with us, we were very happy to have enough space for eating, relaxing and cooking together! The apartments have enough space, are very well equipped (especially in the kitchen there are exclusively new/good appliances) and were very clean.
The landlord is available at any time for questions and is extremely friendly.
The surroundings are really beautiful and very well suited for walks, hikes and activities such as a visit to the tunnel.
We all felt very comfortable and would rent the holiday house again at any time! :)

much too short autumn vacation!

We had booked the mayor's and magistrate's apartment with 9 people (6 adults, 3 children).
In each apartment, we found a basket filled with coffee, wine, tea, filter bags, spices, and much more.
There were no wishes left unfulfilled in the kitchen and the bathroom. Everything was prepared to the best.
The landlord made us feel very welcome. Unfortunately, we had rainy weather, but umbrellas were also available. In each apartment, there were folders with information about the sights and hiking trails. We highly recommend a tour of the 19-Lachterstollen, especially good for children.

In case of car trouble, Mr. van den Heuvel immediately provided us with assistance (on a Sunday).

We can only praise and highly recommend this wonderful accommodation.

Simply great

As a family (parents, children, grandchildren), we experienced a fantastic accommodation. The equipment is very good and modern. There are no missing electrical appliances in the two kitchens, everything you need is available. We especially liked the fully stocked welcome basket in the kitchen. A great idea. We can recommend this holiday accommodation to everyone, and you should definitely stop here.

Highly recommended

For a short trip, we rented the Magistrate's and Mayor's apartments for 10 people. Mr. van den Heuvel lives nearby and was immediately available upon arrival. We were warmly welcomed by him. The beds were already made, towels and bathrobes were ready for everyone. In the kitchen, there was a basket with items like coffee, tea, wine, cookies, spices, etc. It should be mentioned that the information about the excursion destinations was well-sorted and up-to-date. There was plenty of space in the house for all 10 people, as the apartments are exceptionally spacious. The furnishings are new, everything is very clean and tidy. There is plenty of entertainment electronics, but also many board games. The living room table in the magistrate's apartment can be extended so that 10 people can comfortably sit around it. In Wildemann itself, there is a small well-stocked grocery store and a bakery, as well as numerous dining options. There are three restaurants within sight next door and across the street. The kitchen at the Hotel Rathaus across the street is highly recommended. Even if the exterior of the Oasis restaurant is not very appealing, the food is very good and reasonably priced there too. In and around Wildemann, there are many well-marked hiking trails, although due to the bad weather, we unfortunately couldn't use many of them. There are also several worthwhile destinations nearby, such as the 19-Lachter-Stollen and a Glow-Golf hall (mini-golf in blacklight). The arboretum in Bad Grund is very interesting. The World Forest can be visited in any weather and you can enjoy beautiful short or longer hikes there. The children can be let run around without any worries, so they can really have fun. After all, you are in a forest.
Our conclusion: We can recommend the property without reservation.

Definitely recommendable!

We rented the entire Old Town Hall from 05.02-08.02.2016. I have to say, the house was really well furnished. The entertainment options, including various TVs, are up to date. TOP. The bedrooms and kitchens are modernly furnished and, in my opinion, leave nothing to be desired for a holiday home. The beds are comfortably soft - although that is a matter of taste. The bathrooms are very clean. The landlord Benno is super nice and extremely helpful. He fulfilled all wishes... All in all, I can only recommend the Old Town Hall.

Highly recommended!!!

Great accommodation! Modern and extremely spacious.
We were nine people, split between two apartments, and there was plenty of space. Very nice landlord.
Right across from the house, there is a restaurant with surprisingly modern cuisine at moderate prices. The 19-Lachter Stollen and the hiking trails in the area are worth a visit.
We will be back.

It just fits! Thank you for everything!

We had rented the Magistrate's and Mayor's apartments together over New Year's and had wonderful, peaceful days to celebrate the New Year. Hospitality is highly valued here, and so we felt very well taken care of – starting with our arrival. Particularly noteworthy is the wonderful, uncomplicated, and unobtrusive care of the hosts who live nearby and were always available. We were welcomed with a reception basket containing coffee, tea, wine, and other items that immediately allowed us to relax after the journey without stress.

The truly excellent and especially up-to-date tips for businesses and excursions were valuable. Equally special was the prompt help when we locked ourselves out of the apartment on the first day and when we were looking for a pediatrician. The host's wife even accompanied the parents to the doctor in a neighboring village, which was certainly unique.

The apartments are completely new and equipped with everything needed. We also enjoyed the fact that both apartments are very spacious, providing enough space for all guests. In the Magistrat apartment, we had enough space to all eat together (6 adults and 4 children) and enjoy the evenings. In Wildemann itself, there is everything you need for quick errands (bakery and well stocked grocery store 5 minutes' walk away, several restaurants, and also a Glow-Golf hall = Miniature golf under blacklight conditions, the 19-Lachter-Stollen) and perfect starting points for hiking and cross-country skiing. We were just unlucky that winter arrived only as we were leaving. Another tip: Directly opposite is the hotel "Zum Rathaus," where you can find really good cuisine and also the option to book massages as guests.

From Wildemann, day trips to the Brocken, Goslar, and the many communities in the Harz Mountains are no problem. And besides, here you can enjoy pure nature.

We can wholeheartedly recommend this property, with the care and true hospitality that will always remain in our memory. We wish the hosts from the bottom of our hearts always satisfied guests and full occupancy. Thanks again for everything and wonderful greetings to Benno and Ragna in the Upper Harz.

Absolute top housing(s) !

We wanted to celebrate Christmas with our family in a beautiful holiday home in a hiking environment, and after some searching, we chose the AltesRathaus in Wildemann.

What a perfect choice we made! We will definitely come back next year!

From the first to the last day, we enjoyed the holiday homes, Wildemann, and the surroundings.

The homes (the holiday house consists of 2 homes) are truly equipped with everything. From a fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and bathroom to large bedrooms with big-screen TVs, and, importantly, comfortable beds.

Hospitality is exceptional here, from the extremely welcoming reception by the owners to our departure, every question we had was promptly answered.

Folders filled with useful information for all kinds of outings, nearby, further away, summer, winter, indoor and outdoor, for kids and adults. A welcome basket with coffee, tea, water, wine, snacks, etc...
The surroundings are all nature, you can walk directly into nature or hop in the car and be in one of the other beautiful places in or around the Harz in no time.
The medieval town Goslar, the steam train to the Brocken summit, or a trip to one of the museums or (children's) swimming pools, all within a short distance.
Out of the many vacation homes we have rented so far, this is definitely the best one. Therefore, we can highly recommend the AltesRathaus and the Harz to everyone.

Exceeded Expectations Far Beyond

Group of 5 people around 30 years old + dog - Since this constellation already greatly limits the search field, we quickly came across the Old Town Hall in Wildemann.

Contacted the landlord and promptly received a response. We were quite amazed by the price, as for 3 nights with a dog and all additional costs (final cleaning, WiFi, tourist tax), even less attractive accommodations were not available. The good impression was confirmed on-site as well, super nice landlord, the apartment exceeded our expectations and was equipped down to the last detail with everything you could need on vacation.

In short, we can highly recommend the Alte Rathaus in Wildemann to everyone!

Best regards to the Harz, we will definitely see each other again!
