In a fantastically beautiful location, our holiday home welcomes you in the wildly romantic mountain town of Wildemann. Right at the end of a dead-end street, under the protection of the mountains and directly next to the babbling Spiegeltalbach stream, you and your loved ones can enjoy the Harz sunshine hours on a 500 sqm fully fenced property. The covered terrace with its seating area invites you to relax and socialise.
A special highlight is our infrared sauna in our own sauna house. Soothing warmth and deeply relaxing rays are just the thing after an eventful day! Afterwards, relax in our integrated rest area and let your soul dangle.
But nothing beats a restful night! On the ground floor you will find our small bedroom with a box spring double bed, which ensures optimal sleeping comfort. Because only those who sleep well can face the next day with renewed energy.
In bedroom no. 2, which is spread over the entire upper floor, you will also find a box spring bed for two persons and additionally a single bed and a massive baby bed. Attention: Please note when booking that you can only reach the upper floor via a very steep staircase in the hallway
If you are our guest in winter, you will surely love our fireplace in the open living area. Especially on cold and uncomfortable days, it spreads a cosy warmth that makes you feel at home. The flickering in the fireplace and the moving flames let body and mind come to rest. Relaxation is guaranteed!
Our very well-equipped kitchen with a rustic bench and a wooden table, where you can enjoy the strengthening meals together, integrates into the open living area with cosy seating and a smart TV.

Location and surroundings of object
Surrounded by beautiful nature, romantically nestled between the Innerste and Spiegel valleys, the former Upper Harz mountain town of Wildemann lies at an altitude of almost 400 metres above sea level. Because of its location in the valley and the surrounding mountains, Wildemann calls itself "Little Tyrol in the Upper Harz". With its old half-timbered houses, this town has a very special atmosphere, reminiscent of a long mining tradition and the heyday of the Upper Harz as a former industrial centre. The town of Wildemann owes its name to an old legend about the "Wild Man". The "Wild Man", a mysterious giant, is said to have lived in a cave in the forest and aroused the suspicion of the first miners who settled there.
Around Wildemann, an extensive network of hiking trails awaits you, leading you on various routes along comfortable hillside paths and through quiet side valleys; along clear streams and flowering mountain meadows. Numerous benches and shelters, various information boards with explanations of nature and culture invite you to linger. In addition, the idyllically situated ponds offer opportunities for fishing and swimming.
The landscape of the Upper Harz offers many sports and at the same time a very special, direct experience of nature. Cyclists and mountain bikers get their money's worth here. Around Wildemann, mountain bikers will find access to the extensive network of trails of the Volksbank Arena Harz. In Wildemann, cyclists have direct access to the Innerstetal Cycle Path, which runs 105 kilometres from the Harz Mountains to the Leine River.
In winter, the Upper Harz transforms into a dreamlike winter landscape. Then the snow-covered mountain world around Wildemann can be explored on various groomed cross-country trails or on a romantic winter hike.
Of course, the region also offers other leisure activities in addition to many sports activities. For example, visit the 19-Lachter-Stollen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or the pretty Maria Magdalenen Church (reconstruction of the burnt-down church built in 1915). The traditional cattle drive, which takes place every year on Whit Sunday, is always very popular with holidaymakers.
The latest attraction in Wildemann is the new "Glowgolf Harz" facility. This is the first indoor mini-golf facility that welcomes its visitors under black light. In addition to a spectacular blaze of colour in fluorescent colour wonder worlds, the Glowgolf course also tells Harz stories and legends. You will meet miners, witches and railways while playing.
As you can see, the Harz is always worth a visit!

There is also something for your beloved "fur noses". The Harzer Hundwald (Harz Dog Forest) was opened on . The outdoor area, which is open all year round, has a size of approx. 3000 square metres and is fenced in and de-wilded. Your dogs can roam freely here. The visit is free of charge.

Absolutely recommendable
A really beautiful, fully equipped holiday home that leaves nothing to be desired. If you love peace and quiet, you will feel very comfortable here, as the house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac, right next to the forest.
The large fenced garden with a comfortable terrace is a dream in good weather. In cooler weather, the infrared sauna invites you to relax and unwind.
There was nothing we missed, everything was great. We (two adults and a dog) had a great time and will definitely come back.

A warm welcome
Our wonderful holiday in this lovingly furnished holiday home began with a very friendly contact person on site when handing over the keys and a delicious treat as a welcome. The garden with the adjacent forest and babbling brook - a dream for everyone, not only for the 2legged ones, but also for our Bernese mountain dog
The "little Tyrol", as Wildemann is also called, offers wonderful hiking trails for 2-legged and 4-legged friends, the entrance to which is - so to speak - on the doorstep. On the way, our dog could cool off or refresh herself in one of the many streams. The crowning glory of every walk was a swim in one of the many ponds. The nearby bathing pond at the dog park was particularly popular.
We would recommend this holiday home with a landlord who has thought of and organised everything
