The terrace adjoins the spacious and comfortable living and dining area at ground level. A modern Ambilight television provides atmospheric home entertainment, while the large upholstered suite invites you to a relaxed movie night. At the distinctive live-edge table, both romantic dinners and cheerful family gatherings or sociable game nights find their place. The fully equipped Nobilia kitchen (1/26) with open counter and downdraft extractor provides the perfect setting for refined cooking moments.
On the ground floor there is a modern bathroom with shower. Young guests will feel especially comfortable in the small bedroom with bunk bed. Upstairs, a separate single room as well as a cozy double room provide retreat and privacy. After an eventful day of hiking, the wood-burning stove provides cozy warmth and creates a comfortable atmosphere. Or you can end the day on the terrace, while the evening sun conjures golden plays of light and the grill spreads delicious aromas.

My beautiful feel-good holiday homes and feel-good holiday apartments are located in the heart of the Rothaar Mountains in 59939 Olsberg-Elleringhausen. Countless hiking opportunities start right at the front door and are lovingly described in the house folder.
From the living rooms and terraces, you can enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the natural monument Bruchhauser Steine. Right outside the front door, green forests and lush fields await you. Breathe in the fresh mountain air deeply and let yourself be enchanted by the unique scent of the forest.
If you’re in the mood for a bit more hustle and bustle, you’ll find everything gastronomy and tourism have to offer in the neighboring towns of Willingen (11 km) and Winterberg (20 km). By the way, the shops here are also open almost every Sunday.
Dogs love to cool off in the many small mountain streams that run through the forest everywhere. My guests like to go swimming at the Diemelsee, which is 25 minutes away by car, where even the hottest days can be enjoyed by both dog and human at the beautiful serviced dog beach. The beautiful Silbersee, located in the middle of the forest, is also always worth a walk of about 1.5 hours.
My guests can find wellness at the Sauerlandtherme AQUA Olsberg, 7 km away, the Lagunenbad Willingen (11 km), and of course in the in-house wellness area with sauna, shower, forest sofa, and beach chair. Guests with children and teenagers love a visit to the Fort Fun amusement park (20 km), where dogs are also welcome and have free admission. In winter, my wooden sleds are available as decoration or for borrowing at the houses, and anyone who likes can race down the meadow opposite the houses.
In many neighboring villages, charming small Christmas markets are set up, some of which continue beyond the holidays, enticing with wintry scents and festive lights. Cutting your own Christmas tree, which is offered here and there, is also popular.

Despite the very well-equipped kitchen, there is of course no obligation to cook for yourself every day. In my leisure suggestions you will find my personal tips for dining out in especially cozy restaurants, where you will not have any unpleasant surprises. A great alternative is the inexpensive home-style cooking from the local butcher Neumann, which is offered fresh daily. The pizza delivery services are also very familiar with the address of the Houses by the Forest. The bread roll taxi will hang a fragrant bag on your front door at the weekend upon request.
Especially popular with my guests is the large breakfast buffet here in the village at Hotel Haus Keuthen, where dogs are also welcome. Perhaps during your holiday you would also like to sit at a fragrant, set coffee table after a short walk.
I will tell you about well-kept swimming pools and beautiful bathing lakes nearby and have put together a list of suggestions for younger children. For dog owners, there is a page with all information and emergency addresses. There is a competent veterinarian here in the village.
Young people especially love the Skywalk Willingen, the climbing forest, the tubing track, and my free Wi-Fi. At each bed, there are two USB ports with a phone shelf.

Winter holiday with thaw
It was a great week in this cute little house. It started with frost and snow, and the last two days were unfortunately thawy and quite dingy. Nevertheless, we felt very comfortable in the house. Nothing was missing. We have never lived in such a well-equipped holiday home. We will come wieder♥️♥️♥️
