Our dog-friendly, detached family house "Haus Steinblick" is situated in a sunny elevated location in the village of Elleringhausen (a district of the climatic health resort Olsberg), directly by the forest and in the immediate vicinity of the Rothaarsteig. The surroundings are ideal for walks and hikes with dogs.
From the house you can enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the Bruchhauser Steine.
The house has a large garage below the house with an entrance height of 2 meters. Ground floor:
Spacious living room, dining room with sitting area, fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms as well as a bathroom with shower and WC. Also a hallway with dog crate, access to the house entrance and stairs to the upper floor.
Upper floor:
Three large bedrooms, a spacious hallway with additional sleeping option (box spring bed 140 × 200) as well as a bathroom with bathtub and WC. Basement / Garage level:
Hallway with 2-person infrared sauna, storage room, bathroom with shower, toilet, washing machine and two dryers, as well as access to the boiler room.
A total of five bedrooms are available to you: four with double beds (180 × 200) and one with two single beds. Two bedrooms additionally have a single bed (90 × 200), and there is also a sofa bed. On the upper floor there is also a kitchenette with electric stove, refrigerator, oven, kettle, and espresso machine, as well as a dining area for four people.
The living area is over 240 m², the property covers more than 600 m².
For families, two baby beds and two high chairs are available. Please note, however, that the house is not specifically secured for small children (no stair gates or childproof door locks). From the dining room you reach the spacious balcony with panoramic view. The terrace, located directly by the living room, leads into the garden. There you will find a large lounge corner sofa, a 2-seater sofa, an armchair, two dining tables with chairs, two grills, as well as two sun loungers. The garden is gently sloping, so there is always a sunny spot to be found.
In the rear garden area there is a sandbox for children, a small slide, play equipment, and a rocking horse. For dogs, the lawn area is secured with a sheep fence.
Please note: Since dogs are allowed in the house, a completely hair-free environment cannot be guaranteed.
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the house and on the entire property – this also applies to e-cigarettes.
For bookings with fewer than 8 people, we reserve the right to close individual bedrooms. For an occupancy of 4 people, only the ground floor is available. WLAN is available via satellite.

After spending years vacationing there, we bought our own house in the Sauerland in 2016 because we love the peace and enjoy hiking in the forest with our dog or dogs. We also like to go skiing. Every year we renovate part of the house, so it is constantly changing. We use the house ourselves frequently, but we also like to rent it out to families, preferably with dog(s). Smokers are not welcome.
