In the Großen Auszeit you have your own domain – with plenty of space for carefree days as a couple, with family, and of course with your dog.

On the ground floor, a cozy, fully equipped kitchen awaits you, a bathroom renovated in 2024 with a shower, as well as a spacious living and dining area. Here you can make yourself comfortable on the large sofa landscape – perfect for relaxed movie nights or a good book.
Of course, I have also thought of the many little things that make your stay so comfortable: Senseo in addition to the classic coffee machine, oven, refrigerator with freezer compartment, dishwasher, toaster, air fryer, hairdryer, and much more are available. So just pack the essentials – I’ll make sure you don’t miss anything.

Our beautiful holiday homes and cosy holiday apartments are located in the heart of the Rothaargebirge. Countless hiking possibilities start from our front door and are lovingly described in the house folder
From the living rooms and the terraces you have a wonderful panoramic view of the natural monument Bruchhauser Steine. Directly in front of the front door green forests and lush fields are waiting for you. Breathe the fresh mountain air deeply and let yourself be enchanted by the unique smell of the forest
If you prefer a bit more hustle and bustle, the neighbouring towns of Willingen (11 km) and Winterberg (20 km) offer many possibilities for leisure activities. By the way, the shops here are also open almost every Sunday
Dogs like to cool off in the many small mountain streams that run through the forest everywhere. For bathing our guests like to drive to the Diemelsee, which is 25 minutes away by car, where even the hottest days for dogs and humans can be endured at the beautiful dog beach. The beautiful Silbersee in the middle of the forest is always worth a hour walk.
Our guests will find wellness in the Sauerland spa AQUA Olsberg, 7 km away. Guests with children are happy about our discounted tickets for the leisure park Fort Fun (20 km), where dogs are also welcome. In winter, our sledges are available for decoration or for rent at the houses and whoever likes can whizz down the meadow opposite the houses.
In many neighbouring villages, cute winter markets are set up, some of which lure visitors with winter scents and festive lights even over the holidays. Also popular is "Christmas-tree-selber-schlagen", which is offered here and there.

| 45,- € is the basic annual price for 2 persons per night. A visitor's tax does not accrue with us, because we are more than 7 km away from the village centre. During the holidays the basic price is 50,- € and on special holidays even more. The ER we charge once with 50,- € and for a dog once 10,- € per stay. You are welcome to bring your own towels and bed linen or book them for 15,- € per person. Just send us your desired period if you are interested. We will be happy to compile all costs and send you a non-binding offer. |

Despite a very well equipped kitchen, there is no obligation to cook for yourself every day. In our leisure time suggestions you will find our personal tips for eating out in particularly cosy restaurants, where you will not experience any unpleasant surprises. A great alternative is also the inexpensive home cooking of the local butchery Neumann, which is offered fresh daily. Pizza taxi services are also well aware of the address of the houses by the forest. On weekends the roll taxi will hang a fragrant bag on your front door if you wish
Especially popular with our guests is the large breakfast buffet here in the village at Hotel Haus Keuthen, where dogs are also welcome. Maybe you would like to sit down at the fragrant coffee table after a short walk. On Saturdays and Sundays fresh bread rolls are sold here in the Tismes shop. What could be better than coming back from the first morning round with a bag of fragrant rolls?
We name well-kept swimming pools and beautiful bathing lakes nearby and have put together a list of suggestions for smaller children. For dog owners there is a page with all information and emergency addresses. There is a competent veterinarian here in the village
Young people especially love the climbing forest, the tubing track and our free W-LAN. At each bed you will find two USB ports with mobile phone storage.

It doesn't get any better
My wife, I, and our two dogs booked this studio for 3 nights. Our first impression was truly delightful! Everything was very clean, lovingly furnished, and very cozy. The pellet stove was the highlight of our stay. Heating it in the morning and having breakfast in front of it was lovely. Mrs. Middel-Maas (the landlady) welcomed us very friendly. In conclusion: We would love to come back!

In 2014 we buy - almost on a whim - our first holiday home.
