In the spacious and high-quality furnished holiday flat, on the 1st floor of the house, 3 people + toddler will find enough space for a relaxing holiday. The flat is 80 m² in size and is divided into a hallway, bedroom, kitchen-cum-living room, bathroom and balcony. From the fully equipped kitchen-cum-living-room, with seating area, you have a wonderful view of the garden through the large window front and even of the lake in winter. From the living room you can access the furnished balcony. The bedroom is equipped with a high-quality double bed and reading corner. An extra bed for a 3rd person is available in the living room. From the bedroom you can access the smaller 2nd balcony. You will feel at home in the large, bright bathroom with bathtub, washing machine and underfloor heating.
WLAN is available in the entire house. We are happy to provide you with a cot and high chair. You can easily park your car and bicycles under the carport. The property is completely fenced in. A meadow, a barbecue area with barbecue fireplace, a covered terrace and a small playground with trampoline, swing and sandbox can be used in the garden.

The pedestrian environment
Wickendorf is a small district of Schwerin. This small oasis on the outskirts of the city is surrounded by water, forest and fields. Within walking distance you can reach the Schwerin Lake with a small natural bathing area and jetty in about 3 minutes. Cycling and hiking trails are right on the doorstep. You can reach a playground and bus stop (Schwerin) in 2 minutes on foot. In about 10-15 minutes you can walk to two very good restaurants, directly on the water. A guarded beach, snack bar and the Seehof holiday park, with many leisure facilities, are about 20 minutes away on foot.
Leisure and excursions
Schwerin city centre is only a few minutes away by car. The city centre offers many sights and leisure activities. Discover Schwerin Castle, the railway museum, the fire brigade museum or the open-air museum. City tours with the Petermännchen bus or a boat trip with the White Fleet on the Schwerin lakes are also a lot of fun. Schwerin with its numerous restaurants and shopping centres is also a perfect place to go shopping and feasting. The Hanseatic city of Wismar with its historic old town and harbour is about 30 minutes away by car. The Baltic Sea, whether steep coast or flat sandy beaches, can be reached in about 35-40 minutes.

A week at the lake
The location and furnishings of the apartment are generally fine, but everything is somewhat outdated. Also, the cleanliness of the apartment. A large panoramic window surely hasn't seen water in years! Dirty and full of cobwebs. ☹️ The kitchen fronts were also very dirty! The curtains collect dust with movement and have stains! The toilet brush was a true disgrace, and it could be quickly replaced for little money. Also the showerhead, which only lets through a little water!
We also find the billing of electricity and water costs based on consumption problematic! Over 100€ for six days due to the electric heating!
And we only heated the bathroom and living room in the evenings.
However, the view of Lake Schwerin from the balcony is very nice. Additionally, the covered bike shelter should be positively mentioned.

Wir haben Ihre Kritik als Anlass genommen und sofort gehandelt: Die Wohnung wurde einer intensiven Grundreinigung unterzogen. Duschkopf, Toilettenbürste und Küchenfronten wurden umgehend erneuert bzw. gereinigt.
Bezüglich der Energiekosten bei Elektroheizungen verstehen wir Ihre Anmerkung. Wir legen großen Wert auf Transparenz und weisen deshalb auf die verbrauchsabhängige Abrechnung hin, um ein Bewusstsein für den Ressourcenverbrauch zu schaffen – gerade in Zeiten hoher Energiepreise.

Good location!
Good location for exploring Schwerin and the surrounding area. Nice host with many tips for the vacation. Beautiful apartment with parking space for the car. There are also charging options for bicycles. A small rooftop terrace is available in nice weather (unfortunately, the very close walnut tree obscures the view of the lake). Overall, we can recommend the apartment!

Pleasant stay in Wickendorf
In the FEWO Gartenblick in Wickendorf, I felt very comfortable. It is very clean and equipped with everything I needed. The only small downside: a teapot or filter is missing, as in almost all FEWOs I have visited so far (I now always bring my own). The car and bicycle can be conveniently parked in the carport. Quiet location. Breakfast on the balcony with a view of the lake was accompanied by cheerful clucking of chickens. Both on foot and by bike, you can find beautiful swimming spots. The nearest REWE is reachable by car in a few minutes. The city center of Schwerin is only 8 km away. There is a well-developed network of bike paths in and around Schwerin, even to Parchim. The landlord, Mr. Neukamm, was very friendly and had many good tips ready. Schwerin has a lot to offer, culturally and scenically. The people are open and friendly. There are many nice places to stop for a bite. That was an all-around very nice vacation and I would be happy to come back next year.

The apartment was in a very clean condition. The separate entrance and covered parking space for the car were advantageous. However, the key handover did not work. The safe could not be opened as the given number was incorrect. The young man (Jonathan) was very helpful though. After the safe was opened, there was no key inside. The cleaning staff then brought a key over. We were able to move into the holiday apartment after about 2 hours. I also want to point out that the outside area was quite neglected.

Grundsätzlich klappt es mit der Schlüsselübergabe immer hervorragend. Leider gab es in Ihrem Fall unglückliche Umstände. Der Schlüsseltresor war defekt und die vorherigen Gäste konnten den Schlüssel nicht im Tresor hinterlegen. Leider wurden wir von den Gästen nicht darüber informiert, so dass Sie keinen Schlüssel vorgefunden haben. Das Grundstück wird regelmäßig gepflegt. Ich hoffe, dass Sie sich gut erholen konnten und die Zeit genossen haben.
