Highly recommended!

We were greeted very kindly and friendly by the Szkwarek family. The apartment is very cozy and fully equipped and very clean. Nothing was missing. From the covered balcony, you have a good view over the Bernau high valley. The location is ideal for hiking in the area. Excursions to Schluchsee, Titisee, Feldberg, and Freiburg are recommended. We definitely recommend the vacation apartment.

Tiengen's landmark is the castle, consisting of the "Old Castle," a former residential tower of the old castle, and the "New Castle," which later served as a residence castle for the princes of Schwarzenberg. Around 1300, the Stork Tower was erected as a city fortification. The dome added in 1899 still carries a stork's nest, which, however, is unused. In the main street, you will find the oldest inn in Tiengen, "Zum Hirschen." In the old town, you will encounter the impressive castle fountain, the market square fountain, the Easter fountain, and the jester's fountain beside the stream. For those interested in history and tradition, we recommend the Heimatmuseum Alte Metzig in Waldshut and the Klettgau and Heimatmuseum and the oil mill in Tiengen.
